Dino is a terrible in game coach

How about this.

Don’t put ourselves in a position to lose because of a missed field goal, no calls and a bad time out.

Don’t waste the entire first half with vanilla runs up the middle and predictable deepballs/outs.

Better prepare the team to come out and win all 4 quarters. The defense is doing its best. What the hell is with our offense? Two runs up the middle and an incompletion or short pass. Three and out every first drive. We don’t have the experience or proven leadership to be uninspiring in the first quarter.

The three and outs KILL ME. You have 12 days to prepare for your first drive!!! It should be scripted. I’m done with the first down runs. We literally start 95% of our drives with it and essentially we give away a down. Ridiculous

I agree. During the Dungey era it seemed like we always had the ability to go from 1st and 10 to 2nd and 4 effortlessly with our quick passing game. But now...

HCSS wasn’t given his due chance.

;)
You guys are still taking shots at Scott! People on this board were running him out of town his second year when he was down to 3rd and 4th string QB's. Then they wonder why he had difficulty recruiting. We had the year we has last year largely due to ED as a senior. It is going to take Dino 2 or 3 more seasons before ne gets the whole thing on track, as we can all see at this point.

Honestly, I love Dino and I'm not trying to pick on him, but if we win the toss going forward, DEFER TO THE SECOND HALF.

You're taking away the opportunity to have back-to-back possessions. And when you're on the road, the crowd is very hyped up at the beginning of the game, so if you go on offense first you're playing into their excitement to be loud.

I mean we knew going in that NC State was a team with a shaky offense, so why not try to get a 3 and out and give Tommy the ball at hopefully midfield to start the game.

This thread is so dumb. Dino wasn’t a bad in game coach until he had a high school offensive line and kids with their heads up their butts committing idiotic penalties and acting tough by piledriving players on Holy Cross. Bad line, lack of player leadership. The bad line is on him at the end of the day but the guy is NOT a bad in game coach

Dino was a bad in game coach last year when they won 10 games.

Agreed. The offensive line is inexperienced and frankly a disaster, and that’s problem # 1, 2 and 3. It’s not that hard to understand. We can’t run the ball and we can’t protect the QB. Our skill position players are pretty good. But if you can’t control the line of scrimmage on offense, you’re going to have a hard time moving the ball.

Go play action, roll him out, run reverses, screens and even a trick play. Get the defense off balance and stop letting them pin their ears back and come straight on.

And this thread just got even dumber
would you try to use facts in your arguments, he cost us the pitt and clemson games because of it and got all defensive whenever he was questioned by the local media

I've never liked how Babers has dealt with the local media, but what does that have to do with him as a game coach?

It's weird cuz we're not often in close games where time management is crucial but he definitely hurt us Clemson not calling TOs when they were clearly going to score.

No, I was running him out of town his first year. He was a bad hire from the start.

You’re a clown. Funny that that’s what you called me last night and you’re writing this stuff.

That's 1 game out of 43.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. It just seems petty to still be putting the man down 4 years later. I hope that people who have strong opinions about Dino don't feel the need to undermine him and further harm the program.

I wasn’t actually trying to put him down with my comment.
