I don't think any SU guys aw downgrades in 247 that I saw. I don't think its often that a guy gets downgraded in 247 but maybe it happens occasionaly. The composite often will go down, but that is reflective from the other sites I assume. Like the RB Sheffey's composite seems to have gone down pretty steadily over the past year or two, but his 247 ranking has not changed from an 86.

Actually after taking a quick look, it seems like a fair amount of SU commits got a significant boost on the 11/19 rankings adjustments. If our class ranking was better than the 25 it is now, that is likely because other colleges kids got boosted a bit higher than SU's by comparison. I think the rankings go up over time in general. Like if you look at 247 ranking for 2027 kids, they likely have a kid who may be #20 in the nation as a 4 star at the moment. The #20 kid in the nation will end up being a 5 star later on. This makes sense as kids develop and get better their rankings get better. No often does a kids talent get worse.

Good research and explains why the overall class rank went down. I’ll be honest, I noticed the bigger grade jumps, so I just assumed somebody downgraded if our overall class went down, but as you said it was probably other programs seeing greater increases with their recruits.

Getting off topic, but to add another comment about the composite rankings changes, I don't get how the composite can change so often over time. I use 247 and like tha the best and it makes the most sense to me so i'm not nearly as familiar with how the other sites do theirs. Often the changes in the 247 composite are just a little bit here and there but it fluctuates all the time. This doesn't make sense to me. Do the other sites give a kid a ranking based on them moving up or down in the pecking order overall in the class, or for the position in the class and then maybe they give that spot a set rating? So when movement occurs the rating changes? Or is it some ratings algorithm that includes offers, visits etc and every little change makes a rankings difference? Either way It just doesn't make sense to me. You give a kid a rating. then after that, why is it constantly changing all the time, even out of season etc?

With the proper dedication to S&C, that's definitely possible.
