Hopefully the bad numbers were just because Maryland was god awful against the run last year (and defensively in general) as a whole, even giving up 250 yds rushing to Rutgers. 107th in rushing yards allowed per game, 5 spots behind us.

I get it I'm not expecting him to be 1st team all ACC, just confused why the Georgia St kid got a better reception than this guy, he put up similar numbers but did it in the Big 10

oh, yea that’s fair, I honestly have no idea.

I’m not terribly thrilled with either DL pickup so far.

I’d gladly eat crow if our DL is much improved.

This would be a huge pickup in the sense of senior leadership. He was a huge culture guy (team captain as well I believe) at Maryland and won some Big10 award for service as well. Plug and play guy that has been battle tested in the Big10. He won’t put up huge numbers but is exactly what we need with a plethora of young D linemen on the roster.

Very true. Ogebor playing a ton as a true freshman makes me bullish that he'll develop into a nice rotational piece next season.

If these guys can plug holes (gotta be a joke in there somewhere for this crew) and we add an explosive DE. It could make a huge difference even if the DT aren’t necessarily putting up big sack #’s. If they can effectively occupy space and bodies on the OL. That’ll be helpful.

I haven’t watched 1 second of Maryland football this year, but for the stat geeks and PFF obsessed, if he was on a shitty line and getting doubled all the time none of that would look great for him. Not saying that was the case as I haven’t watched him play but if all you’re looking at is PFF grades neither have you
