Class of 2023 DL Dillan Fontus (NY) TRANSFERRING TO SYRACUSE (1/10/26)

Any chance Fontus is comparable to Chris Slayton? SU has never really found a replacement for what Slayton did here.

Dude is a DL he’s not going to have a ton of stats.

His job is plugging holes to allow his DEs to rack up the stats

I was just about to say this. Your inside tech’s aren’t supposed to rack up massive tackles. It’s gap responsibility, trying to create a new LOS 1-2 yards behind the OL, and to allow the LBs to make their reads and be able to flow to the ball.

I think the DTs we have brought in could be very interesting players in our new DC’s scheme. I actually have liked the approach so far in players we have brought in.
