Not loving his enthusiastic comments about FSU.

If he's not going to end up in Syracuse, I'd really prefer that he attends a non-ACC school. Maybe I'll give him a call.

He’s obviously going to have good remarks when talking to someone from that School

With that being said, I don’t think we land him

He was talking to an FSU site so some of it may be knowing his audience.

I liked this comment from the article.

Wherever I don’t end up going, I want to speak with those coaches beforehand and let them know thank you for the opportunity and thank them for everything.

“But I will probably make my decision late December, early January.”

Compare that with his comments about his Syracuse visit.
His Syracuse comments were much less enthusiastic.

Would love to have him.

We'll be OK if he goes elsewhere. Sayonara and off the radar.

Unless he goes to a conference/division rival. In which case he can kick freaking rocks.

Yes and no.

I believe his family now lives in Arizona but I could be mistaken on that
Yep, Arizona.
Although Verse was recruited based on his time in Columbia County, PA, this is far from the only location he’s lived in. After spending his first 12 years in Dayton, OH, he lived in North Carolina and Pennsylvania for three years each before moving to Phoenix, AZ after graduating.

Also, no longer an engineering major.
Verse entered his first freshman semester as an engineering major, however he was quickly forced to change paths.
“The class I had to take that was mandatory was during football practice and I couldn’t skip,” he said.
He adopted sociology, something which interested him much more.

Just a hunch but we’ll see this kid drafted in the top 2 rounds in a couple years

Didn’t realize he was at the top of some lists.
Taj at #12

12. WR Taj Harris, Syracuse

Harris produced 151 catches for more than 2,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in four seasons with the Orange and is one of the best playmakers on the market. He got an early start on his recruitment by entering the portal in October and made a commitment to Kentucky in November, then had to back out of that pledge a month later due to an issue with his transfer credits. Several coaching staffs are trying to figure out whether they can get him in right now.

Then the portal is full of dreck.

Taj is a nice college #3 WR
Come on, someone will get a nice receiver that gets bored half way through a route and just cuts it off. And, a dude that wouldn't lay out for a ball if his life depended on it. I don't even think he would fully extend his arms half the time on a catchable ball.

So his choice should be one of the four, Syracuse, Tennessee, Florida State or Houston, if he commits to one of the schools to which he has taken an OV. I don't think it will be Houston.

I am going in on Syracuse here if we are thinking its down to the 4 schools he visited. Someone (forget who but insider) suggested there was pretty good relationship developing with Verse and our DC. I am banking on relationships and playing time giving SU the win here.

We’re putting D players in the NFL. He is coming for one season, so I like our shot.
You’re saying he will play one year then go directly to the NFL? Because he has three years of eligibility.

I don't think "playing time" will be a factor wherever he goes.
