Miami and Florida St are able to recruit well enough to atleast make a pitch that they COULD contend for a national championship.

He’s going to a P5 conference team. Someone that if they catch a run could make the National Championship.

His big thing is, he wants to play every single down.

There’s one maybe two teams that can guarantee that and Syracuse is one of those….

FSU was the one I believe that Cuse didn’t want to know that they were recruiting him and wanted everything quiet so they wouldn’t negative recruit against him too much

We need 2 receivers one who can beat everyone long like AET, and someone like Phillips, who could pick up consistent 1st downs on 3rd and whatever.
Verse, and a player like Stephen Clark, and Chris Slayton. Then we beat everyone we play, and put a hurt on everyone.

I like the way Verse is handling his recruitment process. Seems mature and analytical about it. Obviously I hope it pays off for SU. He would be a difference-maker next year, and this town loves defense.

Of the teams he’s listed, I think we’re the last team to win at least ten games. He could be used in multiple ways in our defensive system which makes him more desirable for the NFL.

He seems to be keeping it pretty tight and not showing many of his cards. Hoping that the opportunity to play big minutes with us is a huge factor but I feel as if Tennessee and FSU are 1a and 1b. He is pretty tight with Vols DL coach Rodney Garner from what I gather so think they are one to watch.

Well I mean they have a ton of NFL players on defense and Brian Burns ain’t too shabby an NFL Defensive end either, and he’s more recent than Chandler for that matter.

The way this has kind of played out and developed, I would be surprised if Syracuse was the pick. Historically, we’ve not done well when a recruitment moves in this direction.

But, things are different now for sure, so I’m excited to see where it ends up.

Regardless, does seem like a great kid, I’ll be happy for him no matter what he chooses. Earned himself an upgrade at the Holiday Inn Express this season.

FSU, Miami and Tenn won’t even win their conference let alone a NC in the next few years, so not sure what he expects.
