This is why I've raised the moving the goalposts comment so often. You can't argue for so long in regard to giving him the benefit then transition to once he's gone it's hakuna matata and he fades into the sunset and everything he has done is erased.
What he says will matter if it continues. This last one will matter if it puts attention on our efforts for the 24 class. The NCAA is paying attention to all of this as we saw.
Same reason everyone else is able to bring people in: $$$$ and playing time.

We had playing time at forward 2 years ago and couldn’t get anybody, so the coach’s kid had to play all the minutes. It was weird.
Syracuse had just brought in a 5 star, a nova wing transfer and a former 14 a game guy… where was that playing time exactly?

Ahead of the Cornell guy and the freshman stiff.
A Cornell guy who averaged 17 and 6, and a freshman who many on this board thought was the savior. If Jimmy had a different last name, people would’ve been pumped to get a guy with that stat line. That was the exact stat line we would love to have pulled in from anyone else.

If Jimmy had a different last name he would’ve never played 30 mpg for Syracuse…or any other equivalent program.
A 14 and 6 PF would be playing 30 minutes for nearly every team in the ACC this year. Again, this all bias based on his last name. I mean hell, buddy was an all ACC player and people still wanted him benched

Anybody can score a lot if they play all game and shoot all the time.
Is it normal to only carry 3 forwards that actually are a consideration to play(JBA doesn’t count - you already said so)?

Maliq Brown is a far better player than Jimmy Boeheim was. You just have to understand what you’re watching.
