HARD disagree with Quint's opinion that it's so wonderful players like Mencke can go the Duke for a grad school year and play another year of lacrosse. I don't want 23 year old guys playing college lacrosse. Play four years and move on. Doesn't look like the guy was injured, just didn't play his freshman year at UVA. Just my opinion. I want guys to play four years and move on and not game the system because someone can afford full Duke grad school tuition. (maybe he's on a scholarship?, maybe)

I know many college sports are now the domain of wealthy families who can afford private school, travel teams, private coaches, tutors and on. That doesn't mean I'm going to celebrate it. I love the sport, but I don't like what it's become at the top level in college. I still want guys from Carthage and CNS and Irondequoit and -M on DI rosters. Just my viewpoint.

it's not limited to dook or anywhere else. redshirts in lacrosse have been a thing for quite a long time. 'cuse has been a beneficiary.
