mccarthy has to run straight to box not stop before. We tend to do that slot when trying to waste under min. Why do we keep ball so far up top where makes shorter run to opp side for other team. Win faceoff n sprint right to box to least lower wing. Lucky on that bad pic play but man still a win. Also i want that dudes shirt that said “breathe if you hate duke” soon saw it on tv told my wife i want it.

...and Virginia isn't the slouch so many talking heads played them off to be. This is a five way race and the starting gun was fired today. It's the conference portion of the season and it's anyone's title to win.

Yup, that is Maguire. I wrote about this in another thread here. I went to the Saint Joe's at Duke game a few weeks ago. The guy plays borderline dirty all the time. Lots of crosschecking, very physical. Okay, I don't mind that. But in the SJ game he took a light hit near midfield and pulled the World Cup acting job as if he was about to die. Rolling around on the field, holding his head. Then just got up and walked off. Not cool if you are going to constantly be trying to blow up other players. If you want to dish it, then take it and don't try to fake an injury for a 4 minute penalty. Nobody likes a player like that, not other players, not fans.

And yup, he was coming across that crease to bury Spallina. Too bad he hammered his teammate/roommate!

Everyone loves tough, hard nosed players. Nobody likes borderline dirty players who are also rats when it'll suit them.

Good game orange. I thought you guys were going to win even though I think Duke is a good team. I do believe Duke will be better by the end of the season as their youngsters are getting more experience. Definitely a back-and-forth game although the Orange had a good second half. Looking forward to the rest of the season and postseason. Worried about our Duke goalie.

As a small attackman, I'd probably bail on getting in front of Dwan, to be honest. But not with less than a minute to play...

The acc games are gonna be wild and brutal. Start of conference games n both were great hard fought games. Going up to cuse for uva game that’s gonna be huge game def now. First need to worry bout unc. Cause can’t let uncs big two crush us like dukes big 2 did today. We played not scared but timid vs them. Last time we whooper on duke we played aggressive n physical today we did not. Tho get why as we can’t play that style n not make bad hits or mistakes. But whatever we beat duke woohoo.

Love the balance scoring specially few younger guys that’s huge. Can’t just put it all on seniors. Bear with hell of a game not just scoring but showing he can feee it also. Defense was little bad today (being nice) n mccool wasn’t super sharp but enough to get the dub. But we really need to work on how to waste the clock with lead n under Min. Let’s enjoy the dub n then focus on unc.

I thought angelo should gotten few more reps as he seemed to do well. Mullen still continues to struggle with going early. He also needs to stop running right off if other teams fogo stays. Luckily didn’t hurt us but they tried to for sure.
