Too many reasons against him staying as others have said. If you’re just going to be a DL coach and recruit, LSU will pay more for that role than we are able (or should do IMO).Boooo. He's a good dude. Find the right role for Elijah. Make it work.

something tells me the DL talent at LSU will make him look like a way better coach than the DL talent he had here. That's fair. The flip side is that Elijah might have a better chance of becoming an HC if he stays in the NE.
Maybe he's not HC material, who knows, but he'll be buried in the SEC. Either LSU wins and Kiffen gets all the credit or they underperform and the whole staff gets canned. Not a lot of stability there.
He's got a sure thing career-wise as SU's DL coach/recruiter and maybe some NE school will take a shot on him down the road.
He'll literally have the #1 recruit in the country in his DL group. The top 4 guys in the LSU class are all stud DL.something tells me the DL talent at LSU will make him look like a way better coach than the DL talent he had here.
If he’s still looking to advance his career beyond position coaching he needs to focus on learning what he needs to in order to succeed at coordinator level. Depending on who Fran hires for DC, ERob could in theory have done that here, but it’s best that he reset elsewhere I think. Back to school for now, so to speak. That's fair. This is going to sound mean but it’s not intended to be….the answer is no but what other path could ERob go if not to be a “recruiter” at a big factory school in the south? Play calling as a coordinator did not go well. Maybe he could be a HC, but does he have the outgoing personality for it? I’m sure he is a great mentor and can definitely bring in talent but it’s not like he would be able to bring in that level of talent to a non-SEC school. I think it’s a good, safe, move for him. All the best.Does LSU really need help in recruiting?
'By a hair'?I think the positives outweigh the negatives by a hair. I hope the staff took what they could out of ERob. Do they need more of a coach or a recruiter at this point? They have to coach up these 3s but also want 4s. It really depends on who Fran tags at DC and DL coach now. Not worried about recruiting with Fran.
If they hire all the top recruiters, it takes them away from their competition.Does LSU really need help in recruiting?
I’m not sure if he was the lead recruiter for these guys, but based on offers alone this is the highest rated Dline haul in Syracuse history. Haskell, Wilson, Rodgers and Houston all had great offer sheets.I don't really follow recruiting much, did Robinson recruit all that well here? He certainly wasn't a good defensive coordinator. Good luck to him at the Lane Kiffin Football Factory Circus..
