Are they at least something most fans will like? Possibly harken back to a better era?

I’m just comfortable with the knowledge that the current number font is going away. Whatever is debuted on Friday is going to be a lot better than what we’ve had recently.

Not just the stupid font but the color scheme of the number against the uniform also made it harder than it needed to be. It was like being blind in one eye and unable to see out of the other.

Hopefully Nike makes the new unis more widely available (and with more options than an a navy or orange 44 jersey).

Pretty sure we wore them for almost all the 80s, 90s, and through 2004.

It was the last time we had a “brand” as it relates to uniforms. Nobody bats an eye when we change anything now because nobody can keep track of what our uniforms are. Wouldn’t be a terrible idea to go back to the last “brand” we really had as far as our look goes, IMO.

This era had beading guidelines just like those eras. Instead of “orange with stripe” it was block S on white/blue/orange.

I’m fine with both. But to say there wasn’t branding is kind of silly.

If someone asked me about SU’s uniforms the last 15 years , I wouldn’t know where to start. And I’m a fan.

That’s what I mean by branding. They’re different on a weekly basis.

It's pretty easy. They had a bunch of combinations, featuring the Block S with Blue, Orange, White, and Grey. Like most schools.

I think most schools have a branding issue, in this regard. It’s gotten a lot harder to turn on a game and immediately know which team is which. Not really that big of a deal. But I don’t really get the point of it all either.
