The Athletic did their 53 man Giants roster and had Dungey on the outside looking in. Being injured isn't helping.

Sadly, being injured is who Dungey is.

He needs to have a really really great camp to get on that practice squad...

I would have more confidence in the Giants resorting to Dungey as a starter than if they'd ever had to do that with Ryan Nassib.

He was already a long shot as a TE so this is not surprising if he's been mostly unavailable because of back issues. That's a shame. We all wanted to see him make it in football but the good news is even if football doesn't work out he is going to do great in life regardless.

I would at least like to see him given a chance to play quarterback in the preseason. How many other scrubs have we seen get a chance. Hopefully a team ends up short on QBs and he gets his chance.

Giants couldn't properly evaluate him because of his back. His health is going to be a huge roadblock in his pursuit of a pro career.

Guy is not an NFL QB. He is an NFL competitor, but with out the consistent ability or "arm talent" to play at that level.
An all-timer for SU, to be sure. Helped lead us out of a dark period, and put a face to the program. Its okay that he doesn't play in the NFL. That does not diminish his value to SU, or his place in its football history.
