ESPN new streaming service in the fall. Anyone know if this will include ACCN???

I'm glad I was an early adopter of the ESPN, Hulu, Disney Plus bundle. I get all the above mentioned bundle for $16-17 as opposed to the $30 they are talking about now which still isn't a bad deal.
I hate to break it to you, but you don't get the ESPN linear networks with that bundle. Nor will you get them in the fall unless you upgrade to the $37 ESPN+Hulu w/ads+Disney+ w/ads bundle.

Well don't know what to tell you I get all the ESPN networks except SEC network.

What else do you subscribe to? A cable/satellite service, or a live streamer like YTTV or DirecTV Stream? Because the latter is the only way to get the linear ESPN networks until they become available direct-to-consumer in the fall.

The one caveat to this is if a game is on ACC Network Extra (probably just the Colgate game, plus some low tier bball games). For that you'll have to use the ESPN app to stream, but you can use your YouTube TV credentials
I could be wrong but I think the Colgate might be on ACCN for Friday, Sept 12th. We should officially know in the next week or two

Well I must be imagining them then. I only subscribe to the bundle I mentioned. That's the only subscription I own period.

I'm not trying to be a jerk. I just know that you can't stream the linear ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) without a "pay TV" subscription. Occasionally there are ESPN programs simulcast on ESPN+, but that's infrequent and sporadic. One can also stream ABC games through ESPN3 at times, but not the linear ESPN networks.

Are you using someone's cable log-in to stream? We call that password sharing. ;)

This is what I was saying with my post. With just the ESPN app, unless it’s tired to YTTV, Hulu Live etc - there’s a lot of games you will potentially miss.

I’ve actually considered going back to cable because it’s just so much easier turning the cable box on and going to what you want to watch. I want to watch a soccer game, nba playoffs, boxing or college something. I’m flipping between multiple apps to at times. I don’t want to have to open the HBO app on game 4 of the nba playoffs to watch and the next night open it up to find out it’s on ESPN and while I have the app, I don’t have cable service or the like so I can’t watch it. TV watching has gotten so dumb.

We've been using YTTV for years.

While the price keeps climbing, we have the 4K package which allows us to have unlimited streams in our house. While that may not be needed for many, during college football season we sometimes have 5 or 6 going at once.

For some NFL games it's handy to use a VPN on our FireTV sticks so that we can use the network apps to see games that aren't shown on our local stations using the FoxTV and CBS sports apps. Some of our friends are from Michigan and they will sometimes come over so they can see their game(s).

The VPN is also handy when we travel, as the FireTV stick will let us watch our local stations (news, etc.).
YTTV will catch the VPN on a laptop, so that doesn't work.

It's also handy when watching events in the car. My wife or I will drive while the other can use my iPad Mini to watch a game using my phone as a hotspot with VPN enabled to the necessary location.

While YTTV isn't cheap, being able to virtually record shows and games is very handy. The "recordings" stay active for up to a year.

The VPN is also handy when I watch some of my Dutch sporting events either on a FireTV stick or my iPad. The Dutch public TV app or website is fine my VPN usage.

Spectrum Cable just started offering ESPN+ streaming included with certain subscriptions.

WWE is moving their PLEs (premium events) to this service and the reaction so far has been very poor. Currently peacock has these.

also the best kept secret of YTTV's 4k package is the unlimited streams on up to 3 accounts at a time

meaning, me, buddy 1, and buddy 2 all have been using 'my account' and they just venmo me 35 bucks a month and we all have access and have never had an issue

don't tell google plz

Yup... one of our kids uses it on a couple of TVs as well. He does live in our region of the US.

is it 3 accounts? I thought it was unlimited in the house and 2 devices otherwise?

I know it gets confused because its not really a house its an IP that drives it and I have multiple Fiber lines inside my house and only one IP can be the house IP.

So my account is the main one in syracuse

I gave 'family access' to my buddy in a diff zip code in syracuse years ago and we split down the middle, never had issues

Then we added a third buddy in North Syracuse and jumped to the 4k package for unlimited streams

So the 3 accounts are definitely running simultaneously because during football season we're all watching

you mean the sunday ticket you are watching?? And you created other logins?

I believe with Youtube basic, up to 3 TVs can be watching in the same house at the same time. With the 4k you get unlimited number of TVs?
We are looking at cutting the chord and getting both Youtube and the ESPN package. Youtube does not get ACCNX which carries the women's games that I watch. Also considering HULU live TV and not sure how they will be handing the HULU, Disney ESPN portion of their package.

Are you sure YouTubeTV doesn't give you access to ACCNX? It carries the ACC Network so it should give you ACCNX. Is there an issue that Arizona isn't in the normal ACC footprint?

Does everybody you share with have to have a 4K-capable TV?

How does this espn service compare to Sling TV? Is there a link to the ESPN plan?

Yeah that too. The three of us always have Sunday ticket on and no issue

Of course i can’t say it’s always going to work for anyone but we’ve never had an issue. Even with two people it’s worth splitting the 90 bucks to 45 a piece

I am seeing that a lot of people with YTTV have trouble logging into ACCNX and ESPN says it is a Youtube issue, and Youtube says it is an ESPN issue. I know there are a lot of people on here who switched to YTTV. Are you able to log into ACCNX? I'm just starting to sort this all out. I have always had it with my Cox cable and ACCN.

I have YTTV and have watched several events on ACCNX and never had an issue.

Does anyone know if the ESPN subscription service will have a built in DVR, like how YouTube TV does?

Currently they keep their streamed games up to watch at any time at least within a reasonable number of days. I assume there is some sort of limit. But I would think it will be similar to how they have it now with the ESPN app or Watch ESPN or whatever they are currently calling it.
