ESPN new streaming service in the fall. Anyone know if this will include ACCN???

This is the clearest explanation I’ve seen to date. From this morning in Front Office Sports:

“ESPN does not currently have deals with Xfinity, Cox, Optimum, or YouTube TV for subscriber authentication, but customers of DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, Charter, Fubo, and Verizon Fios will have access at no additional cost.”

Getting it for Hulu and Disney and ESPN+. We piggyback on my son's Hulu and this will be a better option for us. I know I don't need it for ACCN etc.
And we don't know how ESPN will be handling the other streaming options going forward. (Hulu Live TV, Youtube etc).
You'll be oversubscribed. However, you can easily adjust/cancel services after you settle in

I’m assuming the benefit to having YTTV and getting ESPN anything that way is the DVR ability. Because of my kids sports I’m almost always watching games on replay. Every year I forget, if I just have the ESPN app and I miss a game on ACC or even the Tenn game. How soon after the game ends can I watch the replay?
Almost instantly...

With YTTV, I just set up and record every Syracuse game. It is literally like two clicks on the remote. So if I miss a start...I can start watching from the beginning anytime (10 mins late or 2 hours late or 2 days late, etc...)

The other benefit is FWD'ing through the commercial breaks.

YouTubeTV usually has various introductory plans available. Sometimes depending on the month. I just did a quick search and found these different discounts: 1) $99 off the first 3 months, or 2) first 21 days free, or 3) 10 day free trial plus $13 a month discount for 6 months. You have to hunt around a bit. The first 2 are only available in August.
Already used the intro :). Most of the deals are for first time users. Apparently they're not a fan of me turning on Youtube TV then cancelling it a week later ha, which I think I've done a few times now. When Hoops season gets closer we'll see how it looks.

It's prob way early but there's 4 games in Vegas during Thanksgiving week. Depending on times and channels I gotta make sure I got those games.

I’ll be in Vegas for 2 of those games!!

ok. I now have both youtube tv and the new ESPN plan. I get ESPN+ on the ESPN plan, but I do not get it on youtubetv. I am signed in on my laptop via youtube and via espn on our tvs. Been watching content all morning that I get on ESPN app on my tvs and am not able to get on youtube from my computer. Mostly it seems to be ESPN+. Some of the women's basketball games are on + and not on ACCNX. So overall it will be worth it for me.

Do you have the ESPN Unlimited Plan or just the lower cost Select Plan for ESPN+? If you have the ESPN Unlimited Plan what does that give you that having YTTV with the old ESPN App plus the ESPN Select Plan for ESPN+ not give you? That's what I have. Later this year when YTTV & ESPN sign a new carriage agreement we'll get the ESPN Unlimited Plan for free.

I ended my YTTV baseplan membership in June when they jacked the price up over $80 and I switched to Sling Blue + HBOMAX for $58/mo for the summer...

Sling Blue has been pretty good.

That said, I need ESPN, ACCN , and CW for fball and bball, so will be going back to YTTV end of next week and kick down for ESPN+ as well (need it for some games, especially once LAX season starts...)

Pro Tip: If you were a past YTTV subscriber, create a new account under a different email address and you will get :"3 months for $49.99" base plan discounted offer in the manage account screen when logged in with the new account:

Sling Blue has been a good and cheaper summer alternative tho, so will prolly switch up again next spring...

Swapping streaming services based on season... the new normal.

Probably the new ESPN Direct-to-Consumer app with the Unlimited Plan. Cost is $29.99/mo. It will give you all games on ESPN channels, ABC, ACC Network, and ACCNX. It will not give you the game at Notre Dame which will be on NBC and any game that will be on The CW.

This is the basic SU sports watching Temu plan...

If you have an over the air antenna and can pickup CW...you should be good there.

Check out Superbox on Google. I have had it for 3 years. Got everything SU B-ball Football and Lax game. Pm me and I will explain the detail. I did not believe for a year and then purchased one and now have 2.

Yes, these are great. Minus the part where it opens your home network up to hackers. Just google it or look on Reddit.

FYI - FOX ONE, the new DTC FOX app, is free to subscribers of YouTubeTV and DirecTV satellite. Download the app and login by connecting to TV provider. Includes Fox news & business channels and Fox sports channels. I haven't noticed that it has anything not otherwise available on those providers but I didn't look much. I noticed it has a DVR feature; unlimited I believe.

That is the knock off version.

I’ll have to look it up, am I mixing it up with a similar one that has the security issues? Not sarcasm, legit question.
