I live in the Albany area too, as far as service. Quite a few do so they can add some more updated insight. But I’ve definitely missed some FB and quite a few (especially preseason) BB games by dumping spectrum. I’ve looked at going back, when I dumped spectrum the FB team was just okay and I could justify missing a game here or there. The BB team, for me, become not fun or interesting to watch as it declined and with a kid in soccer, it was easy to miss BB games too. But now that FB is exciting again, every week is a PIA not knowing if everything I subscribe to, if I’ll still have access to a game. When I had spectrum I never missed a game.
Take that for what it’s worth. I dropped spectrum about 4 years ago. Largely because I moved and decided to see how I’d manage without it. I added YTTV but dropped that too 6 months ago or so as prices went up over $25 in the 3+ years I had it. On top of YTTV I still had to have subscriptions to other things to be able to watch the sports I like, especially soccer and cycling.
Given all that, I have no idea what just spectrum cable costs. I still have to use their internet b/c there’s no fiber option where I live. Maybe someone still in a similar situation can provide more current info.
