I though Gnabry has looked dangerous on the right, certainly capable of beating a 1 v 1 and creating an unsettled situation inside the final third. Havertz has made some clever, probing runs at the defense. They can threaten at times, that’s for sure. Can they maintain discipline defensively in the back and middle of the pitch? Thus far, for a full 90 minutes, that answer has been an obvious “no.”England just has the Homefield advantage where they would only play one match in the quarterfinals outside of Wembley.
The English played pretty mediocre outside the Croatia match.
