every stat is pretty equal

Saying things like “ Buddy getting hot was the only reason blah, blah, blah shows that you don’t understand the game. How about Buddy being a no show in first half is the only reason we’re not up double digits. PS. The refs played a major role in this one.

learn the game.

The guy blaming the refs for a loss against a very average team with 7 scholarship players where we were out rebounded by double digits is the one that knows the game. Got it.

"The refs played a major role in this one"= "blaming the refs for a loss"

Pretty creative spin.

The refs play a major role in every game. Get over it.

yeah but thats a function of shots as well since they only shot Fts

#1. Extend the zone by hitting 3's from all over (sometimes find the nobody to knock a few down)
#2. Driving passing find the free throw line
#3. Get offensive boards/box out and know where the misses usually bounce.

Nothing new. That's how you shred the passing lanes and shoot well when its successful. Its dangerous against a team that can shoot like us. Got to give gtown some credit.
They did all 3 of those about as good as anyone could ask.

How to stop it.
#1. extend on the ball handler and put the best two defenders on the same side. (Guerrier or Dolezaj) one up top imo.
#2. rebound the misses.
#3 press (worked some today but once they get over half court its two points inside with no shot block presence).
We did number 3.

Foul shots were bad. Calls were bad. But we didn't make the defensive switches to wake the refs up. Thus they get away with the prepaid plan.

Fairly obvious other than FTs that we were better. Rough to watch

I dont know, that "Mac" fella seemed alright, and Yurtseven was better than our counterparts. Even if SU got to the line, heaven knows how many they would miss.

Even with ref help, problems are much bigger if you cant beat a team that very recently dropped down to 7 players and hasn't had time to adjust to it.

It reminds me of a line from We're Not Going To Take It, "If that's your best, your best wont do". The good thing is that this team is very likely to grow over the course of the season, hopefully more than other teams.
