FBI arrests Assistant Basketball Coaches in Corruption Scheme

Excellent re: Jurich! I've actually heard he has serious goons on the side and will take things by force if necessary. Good news. The bourbon barons and Frankfort control much of the state including athletics. They had enough. Like the Kansas City bosses finally having enough of Nicky Santoro and his brother.
Any time you can throw out a Casino reference...you gots to do it!

Are you insane? You stay as far away from this stink as you can get. No player that has been rumored to be involved with this steps foot on our campus. Let alone a ship. think. You don't want to be any part of this.

It's like trying to keep your virginity until you get married. It's a nice thought but most people just don't:

Then Jurich should have resigned.

Even Pitino couldn't expect loyalty from this.

See my post above. They aren't pushing any buttons. They are being told (including the Univ heirarchy) what to do by other forces. I'm telling you, the corruption in that state is rampant. My friend gets so angry and upset whenever the state of Kentucky is brought up.

Petrino's buyout is cut in half since Jurich is no longer AD. Went from 8.5 million to 4.25 I believe. Wouldn't surprise me to see Auburn or someone else pony up that money to bring Petrino aboard.

You should hear what he sounds like when your name is brought up!

If you accepted money how would we know after taking him he wouldn't accept some handout from some booster? Yea, I don't want us taking that risk. And these players know you can't take money. They're culpable.

Where any player's indicted?

The corruption in that state in general is unlike any other. My friend in Charlottesville who is Bennett's lawyer and a cousin of a prominent head football coach in the SEC says it is unreal. Who you have to grease to get work done and such. The wheeling and dealing behind the scenes. He said the bourbon barons and suits in Frankfort control and push the buttons in Lexington and Louisville. Everybody reports to them including Jurich, Cal, Pitino, university heirarchy, etc. They really must've had enough.

Huge huge money in coal, natural gas and drilling to. One person I'm familiar with is a big time booster for Kentucky.

I think I read there are 9 other schools and coaches yet to be named.

Do those players have a NCAA bulls eye on them? You want that trouble again for a couple of extra wins? We are just getting out of that hole.

idk why but i kind of feel bad for Pitino. He is a great coach regardless.

I don't feel bad for him, but a Hall of Fame coach's career shouldn't end like this. He should go out on a good note, not like a jabroni. But he has himself to blame.

Who do they hire? Are we assuming that the entire staff is gonzo. Their BOT is not going to touch any Pitino disciple with a ten foot pole. Does some out of work coach take the job on a temporary basis? There are plenty of guys like Frascilla, Dakich, Lappas. Do you give them a one year contract and look for someone for next season.

Well the silver lining for RP is that as bad as it gets it will NEVER get as bad as it did for Nicky Santoro and his brother.
