17.1.7.2.2 Skill Instruction -- Sports Other Than Football. Participation by student-athletes in skill-related instruction in sports other than football is permitted outside the institution's declared playing season, from the institution's first day of classes of the academic year or September 15, whichever occurs earlier, to one week prior to the beginning of the institution's final examination period at the conclusion of the academic year [see Bylaw 17.1.7.2-(a)]. Skill-related instruction includes film review and team meetings related to technical and tactical instruction. In basketball, skill-related instruction shall not be publicized and shall not be conducted in view of a general public audience. Conditioning drills per Bylaw 17.1.7.2 that may simulate game activities are permissible, provided no offensive or defensive alignments are set up and no equipment related to the sport is used. In ice hockey, a student-athlete may be involved in on-ice conditioning activities and use protective equipment (e.g., pads, helmets, sticks), provided no puck, projectile or other similar object is used. In swimming and diving, a student-athlete may be involved in in-pool conditioning activities and swim-specific equipment (e.g., starting blocks, kickboards, pull buoys) may be used.

So, not "practice" as it is usually used. That was my read, and my error. Thanks for the clarification.
 
I know FLJ was a coach on the U19 USA team in 2005.

Is she coaching one of the USA national teams now? Don't remember reading or hearing about this. Cool if true.
 
Cheryl Reeve (Minnesota Lynx) is the USA women's coach through 2024. Maybe she has a new assistant!
