Final Four banners?

I can't recall. Does the University put up banners for Final Four appearances? I know when we used to have the blue curtain (how I miss thee) there were all sorts of banners, or pennants attached. But do we hang banners for our Final Fours up behind the 300's like the championship banner that is there now?

Unfortunately not. We don't have anything other than national championship banners and 'retired' jerseys; it's too bad that SU wouldn't find a creative way to honor history (to say nothing of our conference-mates, whose logos were painted over and not replaced after we left the Big East). I trust that'll all be made right in the Dome renovation.

An underrated benefit of the renovation: hopefully we're never see that horrible 2003 NCAA championship banner ever again. They'll do well to replace it with one that shows all the members of the team, not just a close-up of two freshmen and the coach.

I recall the night they had the celebration at the Dome after the title they unfurled a large 2013 national champions banner that took the place of the blue curtain. I know that is overkill but it looked great, what happened to that thing? In regards to the current banners I agree they look weak, I'd prefer a simple 2003 National Champions banner on a plain back ground or even one like the felt rectangular one I bought from Manny's (can't post the pic right now, at work). We need to put up Final Four banners. The FF is a tremendous accomplishment. I also would like conference championship banners, tournament and regular season (though smaller in stature) Celebrate the history of the program. Banners hanging from the rafters make an arena look great and freeze in time fantastic memories of teams past.

They have really nice ones in the Melo center but no FF banners in the dome. I think the retired jerseys look really cheap and terrible.

Yes, but they actually have rafters. I suppose we could duct tape banners to our roof, we should have plenty of that from our old uniform numbers.

So why can't we just hang them around the upper portion of the Dome Like our NC banner? I don't know why but the fact that we don't have FF banners and the minor league look of our retired jerseys and NC banner is starting to really annoy me. C'mon SU, pony up!
