Here are the Effects of All Five Syracuse Basketball Starters Returning – Orange Fizz – Free Syracuse Recruiting News (orangefizz.net; Edelstein)

With the the announcement that Tyus Battle opted away from the NBA Draft in favor of coming back to Syracuse, the return was complete.

All five of SU’s 2017-2018 starters—Tyus Battle, Frank Howard, Oshae Brissett, Paschal Chukwu and Marek Dolezaj—will once again play for the Orange for the 2018-2019 season.

This scenario does not occur too frequently. Very often, at least one starter either graduates and is done playing in the NCAA or goes on to the NBA Draft and leaves college basketball behind.

But when all five starters return on a team, there is a lot that can happen.

First, the team has the opportunity to improve. All five of these players know each other at this point. They have played a full season together, have gone through highs and lows together and have developed as a team together. They have already stormed, where they all enter the room for the first time together as individuals trying to figure out who is around them. They have already normed, where they start to figure out that working as a team with those around them is possible. They have already formed, where they have figured out how to play together and achieve some success. And they have performed, where they have completely solidified as a team and reached a high level.

ESPN has announced the TV information, times and broadcast pairings for Boeheim's Army's expected run in The Basketball Tournament. The group of former SU players has training came this weekend and plays its first game on June 21.

MacKenzie-Childs Barn Sale: Three hours in line for discounted Courtly Check (photos) (PS; Schild)

Thousands queued up Thursday for an average of three hours in a line that snaked through the beautiful manicured MacKenzie-Childs grounds in search of discounted deals during the annual barn sale.

Vendors walked up and down the line offering fancy mixed drinks to cool down the crowd.

Shoppers entered 150 at a time every 15 minutes. Once inside another line of nearly a half hour greeted shoppers looking for a shopping cart.

Seemingly endless stock was packed on shelves, and tucked into boxes on pallets. Employees worked continually replenishing shelves from the back. There was no question that everyone entering could satisfy their desires for discounted merchandise.

At the end near the checkout even seasoned barn sale shoppers started to show fatigue. The once spirited shoppers dressed up in Courtly Check looked longingly at the next line to stand in.

Treasures in hand they marched on like children waiting in line for an amusement park ride.
