For some reason, I can not dislike Clemson

I think it just took a while for the ACC to realize that football drives the bus, financially. They seem to have gotten the point, though. Hopefully, we will be pulling our own weight soon, football-wise.

Now, baseball on the other hand... :(

You guys want to go D1 in lacrosse? ;)

I would be interested to learn more about any facility upgrades you may have planned... so you know of a good source to locate that type of detail? Y’all are already pulling your weight more than several other conference members. Keep Dino and invest in your assistance to keep stability in the program. The results will be amazing and the money will flow in...

Lacrosse I am not sure of... we have a lot of students from up North so I would assume there would be some interest. We are very limited on men’s sports due to title 9 and the bulk of our resources will always go to football. We’ve actually cancelled a few men’s sports over the past few years. Our fans will actually get upset when there are investments into other programs. You should have seen the effort it took to renovate our basketball arena. The AD had to basically prove it wouldn’t hurt the football program’s allocation.

All you need to do is look at how we allocate funds:

Complete rebuilding of all men's and women's basketball facilities including training areas and offices - $60,000,000

Football operations building - $55,000,000

Historically, there's so much arrogance in the ACC. Duke looks down on everybody, but true arrogance is found in how UNC regards Duke. UVa takes arrogance to a level of perfection that rarely exists anywhere within the biosphere. (There are a few UVa posters on the lacrosse board who are outliers to my critique.) Clemson has been the poor relative in the ACC pantheon for decades. They are refreshing in their lack of condescension. Maybe they are just happy that with the addition of the flotsam and jetsam that have drifted into the ACC from the Big East that they are no longer regarded as a bottom feeder.

And I'm still smarting from it!

True story - The State newspaper in Columbia, SC opened their first website in the summer of 1995. Those were the days of dial up internet. When I went to their site, I was usually treated to stories that had been published in the actual paper as much as two days earlier.

We watched the 41-0 shellacking at a friend's house. When it was over, I came straight home to see the reaction on Tigernet (which was about 4 months old at the time and had maybe 50 posters). It didn't take long to read what was there so I pulled up the State website. There in World War III headlines was the full story of the Clemson loss complete with photographs of all of Syracuse's best plays. The paper was run by all gamecocks at the time and their offices actually backed up to Williams Brice Stadium. It took them days to get articles about world and national affairs on their site but about 20 minutes to publish a story about Clemson being humiliated.

And outsiders wonder why we despise those cluckers!

God you people are so nice. Good luck on Sat...dammit.

There are entire threads on the topic but here is a quick article about the planned renovations to the Dome...

Syracuse's $118 million Carrier Dome renovations to include new roof, air conditioning

Basically, new fixed roof, sound system, lights in 2020 and AC and other "enhancements" in 2022.

Good read and looks like the upgrades will enhance the fan experience with more to come. In the age where it’s easier to watch a game at home these are upgrades that will pay dividends (along with the on field product) with attracting fans. Everything is connected and the school seems to have a long view and multi phased approach... well done on putting the dollars to use.

In that case, Lot 3, Space 433 - west side of Littlejohn. Stop by and ask for Jake.

Syracuse fans in town for the game, you're welcome to come by as well.

We’re in lot 2 and appreciate the offer. I hadn’t had the heart to admit this yet but I am in a wedding down on Charleston this Saturday... Shaking my head even now with disbelief that I am actually missing a game for a wedding. How are fall weddings still legal?

Last one I attended on a football Saturday ended in divorce within two years. The girl didn't give a rip about football, the guy had actually played for Danny Ford. That was some bad juju.

You really don't sound well. You should see a doctor today. Could just be one of those weekend things, hopefully.

Since Minicuse isn't on the board anymore I can reiterate that I missed Syracuse going into the Orange bowl and beating Miami 33-13 for his first wedding and that marriage lasted about 12 minutes.

For the record though, Syracuse is 5-0 in games I have missed because of weddings.

The last one I missed was the ED debacle vs Louisville when SS had him in late in the game and he got hurt.

My wife wanted a fall wedding so we got married on a Clemson bye week. She let me add a game trip to the middle of our honeymoon. The fact that her dad was an equipment manager in the 70s and she bleeds orange probably doesnt hurt. :p She is totally fine with spending our anniversary in Death Valley.

Got to be on campus this summer. It's awesome. One of my son's best friends wants to go there. It's killing his parents, who are both BC grads.

Now for the trophy. Some guy named Scott said to call it the FUD Trophy. As in Dabo/Dino and the trophy looks like a cigar.

Nobody touches pitt, psu and nc st in my world of dislike
