For the first time since 1963...

We went 4-19, 2-22, and 8-13 during that stretch in the 60's.

A little different than
18-13 (when were banned from post-season)
23-14 (and a Final Four)
17-13 (and still counting)

This team through 21 games was 12-9. Through 22 games it was 13-9 and then 14-9. And the difference in schedule is the difference between the best conference in Division I and what would not be a Division II team.

Ric is still playing for the possibility of a #1 seed in the NCAA.

Yeah I wasn't trying to compare the two three year periods. More about consistently solid performance over a very long period of time.

Yes, that was probably the worst three year stretch in program history, and happened in an era when teams played far fewer games. The current three year stretch in no way resembles that one.

Longshot to happen at best, and we were playing for our tournament lives.
My answer was to the point that Louisville continued to push the scoring after it was obvious they would win.

Louisville is not that big of a longshot. Several things could happen in different conference playoffs that would make them a #1.

If Louisville get's to the ACC final they just might be a 1.
