For those are already to move on from Red

We are in our 11th year of mediocre to bad regular seasons. I'm not wasting money to fly up to Syracuse and spend $600 on a hotel and ubers and food/drinks for a weekend to watch this product.
A few months ago I bought tickets for the Georgetown game because I was planning to be up in Syracuse next weekend for family stuff. Normally, I would have gotten Duke tickets and maybe another game depending on the weekend game schedule. Similar to you, I am not paying for tickets, travel, and hotel for games where we are likely to get trounced. I've done that too many times in the last ten years.

They could list him as a center, he's still a forward and if you want to believe he's a guard then you'll be shocked and forget this conversation ever happened when you're defending Red for playing Chance out of position while doing something similar on another post that you have very little insight or common sense on, broski.

Do you think Red is tanking games then? I can't imagine him not playing a guy buried on the bench for any other reason than that.

Keep that head in la la land broski.
Michael Gbinije and Elijah Hughes say hi. Playing out of “position “ to play pg.

Well the fan base is definitely not letting it happen. Look at attendance. It’s abysmal.
Same people go every year forever, they all are taking a break, this is the year to do it

He’s better than Carlos only thing stopping him is his stamina.
I mighta said that before last night. Chance dribbled the ball twice and fumbled it out of his hands twice. Hopefully just nerves and can actually help soon but after 2:30 of playing time, chance is not better than Carlos now….
But this thread is about firing red and I haven’t read it but assume next years recruiting class has come up. I definitely feel like red should have a short leash but I think that means after next year. I don’t wanna see us lose any of those recruits lol

I don’t know which thread to post to now because they all are saying the same things.

What we’re all saying consistently is the best performing on the court players should be on the court for the most minutes.

It’s December, 7 games in. What you did last year or in the offseason or in practice really don’t matter if it doesn’t translate to the court.

The fanbase is sharpening the pitchforks and wants heads on stakes right now because adjustments are not making sense and are way too slow.

It feels like we are rolling with 1-2 dead fish flopping around on the court at all times.

But What really makes me sick is that last year we also had dead fish flopping around on the court.

Its like Groundhog Day only not the funny ha ha Bill Murray one.

He’s rusty and needs game time. And still better than Carlos. We all can agree to disagree here.

Save your money for Fran Brown.

If this is true, I really don't understand how he has a job. Our rankings continue to plummet under Kent. He's just as bad as Nancy.
He’s worse. We gave under Nancy. We halted under Kent.
But people here debate me. Okay.

Pitch meet fork.

When was the last time Chance played point guard? 3 years ago in high school before knee surgeries on two different knees?

If he is even a thought at point guard, which isn't even his position, I'd like to know who in their right mind thinks this is even a passable option?
When he was practicing last fall (2023, before the second injury), some insiders were saying he was a more steady and reliable Copeland, just not as freakishly athletic.

And some of the same insiders said Carlos was looking ACC level or better in pre season practice. It means squat until it’s proven on the court

Same boat. Bailing on the Maryland game.

adding on to this. Chris Bell also commented under a tre johnson highlight reel today “freedom at its finest”

Q, the basketball player, is just what this team needs, sigh.

Significant issues existed in JB's last few years. My concern is that those issues have not resolved, making it clear to me that Red was behind many of the decisions over the past 10 years. Roster construction has been equally bad, if not worse, under Red. Defensive strategy and execution is poor. Offense, despite good production, is stagnant and reliant on the talent of a single good player. If our star player is off or gets injured, it's game over.

Outside of high school recruiting, which has improved a ton under Red, it seems like we may have taken a step backward since JB "retired." After all, JB was an exceptionally good strategist and in-game coach. Time will tell if recruiting is enough to turn things around.
