Wait what?We took a bus to NY last week. We will take a bus there to play Maryland in a couple of weeks.
Plan is to take a bus to B.C. and Pitt. That sound like a school that is flush with cash to but
out a coach?
You heard me. And not for nothing, JB would not have allowed that. No matter what.Wait what?
Takes me back to my student manager days when that was the norm in transportation. And we would bus back after the games! We took a bus to NY last week. We will take a bus there to play Maryland in a couple of weeks.

Well, this is dire.We took a bus to NY last week. We will take a bus there to play Maryland in a couple of weeks.

Who is we? The team? They’re doing that because the athletic department doesn’t have any money?
We use to fly to LGA and the team for years would stay at the LGA Marriott. The year of the huge blizzard (1994 or 5?) put an end to that, as the BE required that all teams had to stay in Manhattan. I miss the East Side Marriott and their lobby bar.Off topic but didn't the team used to take a bus down to MSG for the BET?
Pitt is on a weeknight in February, but these other games are weekends and off times for school so it makes sense to save the money even if you could afford it.We took a bus to NY last week. We will take a bus there to play Maryland in a couple of weeks.

No. It's second rate. And would have to hurt us somewhat in recruiting.Pitt is on a weeknight in February, but these other games are weekends and off times for school so it makes sense to save the money even if you could afford it.
Really? First rate programs fly. Second rate programs bus. And the basketball program understands that.Frankly I’m shocked that this is a thing.
Are we talking regular coach bus or a first class bus that are significantly more comfortable.No. It's second rate. And would have to hurt us somewhat in recruiting.
One, I don't know. Two, I don't care. I would imagine it was the best bus we could get. But so what? To me, it would be like having the very best trailer in the trailer park. Are we talking regular coach bus or a first class bus that are significantly more comfortable.
Does this mean we are prioritizing football above all else or that the AD has no money for anything?Really? First rate programs fly. Second rate programs bus. And the basketball program understands that.
I only know what I know and in this case, it isn't much. I do know this much. The hoop program does not want to bus. At all.Does this mean we are prioritizing football above all else or that the AD has no money for anything?
Keep in mind that the AD needs to find $20MM in direct payments to athletes and fund 60-100 additional scholarships ( out of 211 additional allowed in the sports in our portfolio) beginning in July. Only two potential approaches: Cut costs or increase revenue.I said it a couple days ago, people don’t realize how far behind this program is when it comes to these things. A huge donor yesterday told me “NIL or die” and the main focus is getting players and spending money on them. Unfortunately this is reality when spending goes elsewhere. Melo center becoming outdated. Workout equipment outdated. I’m currently working with my brother to get them treadmills from this decade. So when people go nuts about Red and the coaching, I look at how much the program is lacking and the loudest complainers are usually the cheapest. Welcome to the NIL world
