I think i have it figured out. Doug and Doc love away games and this year is just the start of what is going to be a unique earth shattering plan that Nancy shared with only my family last night after the presser. See our success under Doug has always come on the road. He loves the road. He can control the team. Lights out at 7 right after the showing of the Express. No Marshal street madness to contend with, No empty seats to worry about, No lack of Tubas in the band, No fine mess venue problems, no stairs for PTG to slip on after the game. So here we go. Syracuse is going to build an on campus Basketball only facility that will seat 50,000. This has been in the works for a while now and again my Father is the only one that Nancy has confided in. The Dome is going to be given to Bernie as final settlement on his law suit. Bernie has big plans for the Dome. He has secretly been working with Tag ever since he met him through Marion last Christmas during a joint therapy session in Providence. And here is the big news. Bernie and Laurie are going to Launch their Ministry of Youth from the Dome next September. Tags working on the TV deal nothing is done yet but he promises Bernie it will be bigger than Joel Orenstein. College Football history will be made in the year 2020 when Syracuse will become the first school in NCAA history to be invited to the December 2nd Dow Chemical bowl to be played in Rutgers Stadium after playing all of their home games virtually in their opponents stadiums. Doc has it worked out so that we can wear our home uniforms and actually use the" home "side of the field and the " Home Team" Locker room during our "Home" games. In the year 2043 to celebrate Dougs 35th year of head coach and the last year of the contract extension he will recieve this fall, a Statue of Doug will be erected in center field of Yankee Stadium right between the statues of Babe Ruth and Ernie Davis. KCSU and His Dad who will now be 135 will be in attendance along with all of the Fine mess crew and Doug Gottlieb who will MC the event.

Nothing good can happen at 2 in the morning. Oh Lord
Just trying to lighten everyone up over only having 5 home games. In reading all of the post you would think that some felt we would never have another decent home game. Who knows we may be in for a great year as Doug went to the Pin Stripe Bowl on the back of an amazing away season.

If nobody goes to 5 games, does having 6 games matter?

Agreed i buy six premium tickets every year have forever and my family buys another 8. I actually thought my post would help to lighten the situation up a little. I watched Dougs Presser and you have to like the way he was honest about the situation and i love the fact that he wants to play the best as he is hell bent on making us the best. Sure i think to Bees point that if Doc and Herman had gotten on this in Oct we would have had a solid sixth home game but they blew it and had to scramble. Given the choice between another FCS team and Missou on the road i will take Missou any day. Having lived in KC i can tell you that Columbia in the fall can be great. If you have the opportunity you should try to go as it is really a fun spot. Oh well i guess my shot at being a comic went over about as well as some of my rants on Doug. Lets hope we have a good season and the guys step up to the challange!

5 dome home games and let's be generous and say the attendance is 40K. not much revenue.

coumbia is nice in the fall, but not as pretty as the finger lakes

glad we could oblige mizzou with that 7th gift home game.

Say 35k average for 175k total (38k per BCS and 23k for Stoney Brook) which would equal 29k average over 6 games. If we got a 6th home game it would brought the average down a bit because it wouldve likely been vs noone worthwhile and split some of the Stoney Brook gate. Net loss may be ~10k total

yes gross is a genius for brokering us a home and neutral (usc) and a home and none (mizzou).
