So crucial. This is cliché, but a game like this, with FSU's confidence/"buy-in" hanging in the balance, may very well be decided in the 1st 15 mins. We get out to a 2 TD lead, the stadium becomes restless & begins to boo their every mistake, & the FSU upperclassmen with one foot out the door & minds on their combine preparation begin to crumble. I'm hoping this is what the fanbase becomes by halftime...i agree with this, we need to get out to a lead, and FSU will implode
No they're not. They don't care. They're going to come out, take a dump in their pants, treat their home fans to an L, and go commit some minor crimes after the game because that's the FSU way.
This would finally convince me we are in the end of days.Penn State and ND play in the national championship game.
Per state not going anywhereThis would finally convince me we are in the end of days.
Oh, we're gonna drive the nail into that coffin.SU can officially end FSU's 35 year bowl appearance streak. From the SI recap of last nights game by Molly Geary:
"The deflating loss means Florida State, now 2–5 on the season, must win its final four games—vs. Syracuse, at Clemson, vs. Delaware State and at Florida—to extend its streak of 35 consecutive bowl appearances. That's a daunting task for a team that has struggled greatly since losing QB Deondre Francois in its opener and has now lost back-to-back games for the second time this season; before 2017, the program hadn't lost back-to-back contests in six years."
Love for SU to get the win and get one game closer to bowl eligibility and stick it to carpetbagger 'nole.
I don't think you are giving SU enough credit. I think there is a real good chance that SU runs the table. I do believe that they are better then all of the remaining teams on the schedule.
if FSU wins 5 they probably still get in, because a 5-6 team gets in before any 5-7 teams do.
I look at it this way. As someone said above, FSU players have never had to deal with adversity and losing like our players have. We're battle tested. We know what it's like to lose and lose a lot. Our guys hated it, as Zaire mention in the players tribune post . But we also now understand how to win and how to win big games. I think the mental aspect of the games for balance of season is won by us before games even start. I highly doubt we'll look past anyone on our schedule. I think Dino will have them prepped for every game left. our guys are driven to get to bowl game for seniors.
Everything happening to other teams around injuries is nothing new for us. Oh FSU losing starting QB and imploding. oh well, call me when you are playing your 5th string QB for significant minutes. same with BC. Injuries, unfortunately, are a part of the sport and something we have been dealing with for years. Especially to our "star" players.
