I haven't done much research but i cant imagine there were many top 10 undefeated teams who have been 21pt dogs. our line will have to be 35-40 at this rate

i haven't really checked this, this is just a gut reaction but i don't think there is much difference between 10th and 30th-40th any more. seems like there is more parity among teams just below the top tier

but that gap between 1/2/3 and 10 is huge

The Gap between the top is causing the BCS changes. its been shown that some avg teams dont lose IE ND last year. Its been shown that some really good teams lose IE Alabama. Lately its been more important when you lose than who you lose too.

How many of the top teams deserve to in a play off system. 2 is not enough even in the best of years. is 4 enough? I can see teams as far down the BCS tree as South Carolina at 14 being competitive. Stanford at 5 and Miami at 7 Missouri at 9 Ok at 10 , Auburn at 11 have numbers but haven't shown me on the field they are elite. Clemson not so much either.

That leaves 8 to my eyeball test..

if this were next year would undefeated Baylor get left out ?

Miami is just absurdly overrated. I wouldn't be surprised at all if FSU won something like 49-17.

if they do then they will have dusted the ACC elite except for BC .. Miami/VT next week for another shot at FSU in December..

florida still has Ga, Vandy, SC left.. they better win one or the FSU game will be for a bowl game..

You're talking the first half line, right?
If we played at FSU this Saturday, the line would open around -32 according to Sagarin

I agree about Miami. And Fla State needs a convincing W over a top 10 opponent to jump over Oregon in the BCS standings. Not to mention the in-state rivalry.

I can't wait for the Florida game. I really don't like Muschamp
