It looks like, at least in this mockup, that they're using the same footprint of the dome, so I can't see how they'll get much wider concourses in there.

So that drawing is showing a connection to Archbold and a new building (hotel?) on the west end of the Dome.

looks like North & East sides are expanded out. If you look at the other rendering i believe that's looking from Archbold towards the highway.

I know with the EFTE roof in Minneapolis, they are planning on doing flyovers again when it opens.

I think this is a real possibility. Of course, the A-10 are long gone and there are no more manned flights out of Hancock, but maybe a flyover could be arranged from Fort Drum?
You caught me in mid-edit .. i was trying to input the roof material and was looking up-thread for the acronym. ;) It doesn't have to be the A-10, but it'd be nice if we can find one still flying. Any fighter would do .. -18, or maybe one of those new, $170M stealth -35's. Mark, maybe they can load it with a "thunderDome" mission module.

Pretty cool if that is what we end up with, here's a look at the dome from close to the same angle as the drawings.

This build-out could be pretty cool depending on what it houses.

It's a nice look, though I don't believe they'll go with it.

Funny that their design program seems to have the sun rising in the north-northeast - check out the shadows.

If the press release said fabrication starts this June (less than a week away), why don't you believe they'll go with it?

Just what I hear. I expect a less symmetrical design without such a heavy Archbold connection and (though it's difficult to see in this rendering) different loading/parking orientation at the Raynor/Irving intersection.
