Former Syracuse University football commit heads to Portland State

Syracuse, NY -- Junior college defensive lineman Mark Garrick won't continue his career at Syracuse University.​

But the former Sacramento City College all-star will play at a four-year program next fall​

Last I heard on P. Barnwell he still hopes to come here after what looks like a two year stint at a junior college. So maybe by 2015?

I was wondering if Garrick was somehow still in the picture. Glad that situation is resolved, glad we didn't burn a scholarship on a guy with an undiagnosed torn ACL, and glad the kid landed on his feet with a scholarship somewhere.
