That's what I'm saying--that we need Thorpe. We need the guard depth and another PG option if Frank flames out again. I would think he'd be the priority. (Though I'd like to get Dolezaj as well.)

yeah but that's from Apr 18 - that he was planning on visiting in early May - still haven't heard if he actually visited yet
Just took a quick look at the Pitt boards and they just made a post yesterday and are asking if anyone has heard anything about Thorpe, nobody has posted a useful response yet. He just seems like a kid that will keep things low key and under wraps which is probably best for our fan base right now.

It is funny how quickly we want things to happen. Tucker passes on SU less that 90 minutes ago and we want Eurodude and Thorpe to commit as soon as is possible or the second after Tucker passed. Hope that we get one of Eurodude/Wilson/Wright and one from Alaya/Thorpe. Sounds like a Chinese menu: Take one from Column A and one from Column B.

Kentucky early on was a contender they backed off. It's going to be Syracuse or Pitt for Thorpe.
We can go all-in for him now but he may decide he wants to play at home as he is from Pittsburgh.

All of Pitt's team has pretty much transferred. It's a pretty easy decision IMHO as long as SU turns up the heat .

Only difference between Pitt and USF right now is conference affiliation. Both have extremely barren rosters. If he went to Pitt he would be in the same position he was at USF, a really bad team that he has to take 15 shots a game for.

Folks here made the same logical calculations for Tucker, Green, Randolph, Walker, etc. I've learned now not to count on logic. Momentum and emotion seem to really matter.

Heard Iona has a opening now...we got hughes but we will lose out on thorpe to them. Just can't win this recruiting cycle:bat:
What makes you so sure that Thorpe would want to go to iona? Would be a strange place for a high d-1 player to go.
