Georgia Tech Postgame

Come on guys. They won and in fact really played well down the stretch offensively . It was a bucket or a foul pretty much every time down the court the last few minutes. This tech team isn’t worse than the other ACC teams we lost to. a little less glass half empty might be in order for a few hours .
The way that GT played last night absolutely makes them the worst ACC team we’ve played so far. They were a disorganized mess. We just happened to be less of a disorganized mess than usual last night. Nice to get a win finally.

Smiles everybody

Great win! Let's Go Orange!

My buddy works at the Dome and told me 4775 was the actual turnstile number. I didn't just make that up. ;)
Think about how much lost revenue on concessions that is.

I went to the Bucknell game and noticed and couldnt believe how many concession stations weren't open, never seen that before. It made sense with it not being a full house.

The backcourt/football field, my son found a friend from his neighborhood, I remember pregame you go down on the field you could easily lose your group and get separated due to sheer amount of people hanging there before tip.

I suspected you had a contact. That seemed rather random to throw that out there with the certainty that you seemed to have. Wow! Even with bad weather, that should get some attention.

Red thanked the "fans who came out" and said there was "a lot of noise" about the program as his only opening comments in his presser. I may have misinterpreted, but he seemed kind of angry when he said it. Maybe he wanted to avoid doing a FLJ rant about lack of attendance because that attendance was bad.

Well Red…..

If we could have just snuck out that ND game attitudes would be much cooler. I mean we'd still stink and want a change but we would be hanging in the belief that we aren't the worst. Sad time.
The Texas game was also there for the taking. With Starling healthy, the Gtown, ND and possibly Wake games could have been wins too. How do we feel about the season then? Still mediocre and not anywhere near our standards but not a disaster. I hope Red and the team improves over the next two months, but I still worry that he’s not the answer as head coach. The program needs more NIL funding, that’s for sure. But coaching is an issue. We’ll see how they do over the next few weeks, if they can build on this win.

I didn't read all 5 pages or or other threads but surely we will see Carlos on the bench more right? 10 mins last night and nothing to show from him. And we actually beat a P5 team.

The problem with playing the what-if game is that we just as easily could have lost to LeMoyne, Colgate and Youngstown State.

The Eddie Lampkin praise (and shade) about his solid interior defense was hilarious. “He had two blocks” (cracks a smirk) “you know that was almost his whole total last year.”
the Eddie ‘throw down dunk’ attempt in the second half was actually funny. He actually looked like he might pull it off but in reality he didn’t seem to get over the rim. The entire bench was cracking up! As far as the crowd it felt like a preseason game against Oakland vs an ACC game - looked like 8-9k but the regulars gave there seats away - I’d say 80% of the people around us were not ‘regulars’
