So far other than a cameo by Rick Jims coaching tree is looking more like a small bush.
I believe Tim O'Toole is still coaching somewhere.Brendan Malone , Ralph Willard was at SU for a year. Louie Orr, Wayne Morgan, DNic- a year as a grad asst?
You are right - he is the associate head coach at Pitt.I believe Tim O'Toole is still coaching somewhere.
Congrats to GMAC and Siena today with a win over Canisius to even their record at 5-5. Last year Siena only won four games the entire season.
35-35 at the half.Siena/GMAC on ESPN+ right now vs Cornell
Saints off to an early 6 pt lead.
"Siena has done a nice job limiting Cornell's 3-point attpts, which the Big Red thrives on. Cornell has taken just 7 in this half."
That is true- however, I would still take Peter Carey over Naheem Mcleod on my team any day of the week. It kind of speaks to Autry’s ability to judge talent. Same thing goes with Autrys decision to grab Starling and tell Girard to hit the road. Say what you want about Girard but he played in a sweet sixteen and a final 8. Starling will get nowhere near that.“Carey found foul trouble” is like saying
“Fat kid found candy”
Or
“a duck found water”.
It’s his natural habitat.

That was a huge road win for Siena. Cornell was a 12 point favorite. Siena's biggest issue this season is that they have had 8 or 10 minute stretches where they have been totally outplayed. Today, it was only maybe four minutes, and even though Cornell cut Siena's lead from 13 to 2, Siena was still able to hold on.Final score: Siena 83, Cornell 77. Congratulations Gerry!
Today was definitely one of their better victories. Most of the season has been parallel to Cuse's. Gerry is definitely still learning. But let's hope they have turned a corner.Siena looks much better coached than we do.
Siena looks much better coached than we do.
Siena was 4-28 last year and was #357 in KenPom. They are 6-7 and are #268 in KenPom.
Meanwhile we are 110 in KenPom after being 80 last year.
Interesting….
