Yeah I know they beat us in '87. College hoops is better when Indiana is good. That scene was awesome. Go 'Cuse, number one in all the land.

Completely agree. In my opinion, the best fanbase in college hoops. They were ABYSMAL over the past three seasons, and they still fill that place up. Happy for them.

I've always liked Crean and was--ack--glad to see the win (slightly easier to say this when it came over Kentucky/Calipari and cleared our way to the top). Good on IU for sticking with him as he built his way through some injury-riddled campaigns. We'll see if this run continues.

I agree; Assembly Hall is one of the best venues in basketball. That looked awesome today. College basketball is more fun with relevant games in Bloomington on Saturday afternoons.

But their fans stormed the court.

I wonder if their message boards are filled with posts from self important, anally retentive blowhards preaching about how their fans should do that, it's beneath them, blah blah blah.

Absolutely GREAT finish!

The court-storming made that celebration. It was amazing.

Fallen program beats the number one team in the country on a last second three? You bet your ass you should run on the court!

Hells to the yeah. But if it was here, you've been around long enough to know that the killjoy crew would be littering the boards with their pompous lectures on how we're Syracuse and that shouldn't happen.

But it might not be an issue, since here the courts tend to be surrounded by the blue hair brigade. Don't want to lose those knitting needles, you know. It's more important to hurry right for the doors to beat that awful post game traffic!

I'd say that Syracuse fans shouldn't rush the court in 2011 (unless we beat Louisville on Senior Day to extend our record to 31-0, because that'd be awesome).

But if we'd had a win like that in 1999 or 2007, after a couple of middling seasons, rushing the court would've been ok. And Indiana has sunk lower in the past half-decade than we did during either of those down eras.

What Tom Crean has done over the past few years is nothing short of extraordinary. He literally inherited an intramural-level squad in 2008 thanks to Kalvin Sampson being a blue shirt/red tie wearing cheater. Obviously the season is young, but they are in very strong position to be solidly in the NCAA tournament this year. He is an elite coach.

Great game. I was pulling all the way for the Hoosiers.

They beat us in '87 but it was a clean game, we failed to put it away, and we failed to rotate over on Smart in time. I don't enjoy seeing "the shot" every March on TV, but I hold no ill will towards Indiana. I didn't like Knight in those days because of the douchbag image that he projected, but I have grown to like him a lot as an analyst.

The IU/KY game was one of the best I have seen in awhile.
