Kyrie Irving aka Uncle Drew.
Does anyone know if the staff is recruiting him to play in the middle of the zone or be a wing, or both for that matter? I have been high on this kid since I first saw him last year with Noel. He has developed tremendously from last year to now and I would love it if we could land him. Heard Crean just offered him, come on Goodluck we just smacked those dudes and sent them packing...love it. Hope the staff is still pursuing him hardcore.
Strictly the middle where he'll do the most damage on the defensive end. Don't worry, Hop has been recruiting this kid forever. If we don't land him it won't be for the lack of effort.Does anyone know if the staff is recruiting him to play in the middle of the zone or be a wing, or both for that matter? From ESPN's latest recruiting article "2014 bigs stand out at philly jam fest":
Best Shot-Blocker
Goodluck Okonoboh
2014, 6-9, 210, C
Offers: Indiana, Syracuse, Marquette, UConn, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Providence and Missouri.
There were times this weekend when Okonoboh’s defense was simply dominant, like an unfair trick as he lured unsuspected drivers to the rim only to fly in from out of nowhere to turn them away with authority. He’s an incredible athlete, not just because of the quickness and height of his leaps, but also because he’s equally quick and mobile and consequently able to patrol the lane from a wide radius. The one-man zone provides his teammates with a ton of defensive freedom on the perimeter, as they’re able to take calculated risks knowing they have the big fella waiting in the wings to back them up.
Oh my! Goodluck Okonodome!New tape on Goodluck...swat of Chris McCullough included.
McNasty!!The second coming of Conrad McRae
Absolutely perfect analogy! The second coming of Conrad McRae
I would think we would need to lose one of our 3 returning centers to be a serious contender. Rak and Coleman being the only legitimate threats.Francis - how are we looking here? We have been dancing with him for years. CMc, Goodluck and Joseph would be a outstanding 2014 class!
Indiana is the team to beat currently. As much as I like him, with either Rak or DC2(possibly both) returning after next season, I wouldn't be disappointed in losing out on him if it gave us a better chance to get Diallo or Diagne in 2015. Diallo is going to be a big time stud and unlike Goodluck, he makes a big impact on both ends of the floor.Francis - how are we looking here? We have been dancing with him for years. CMc, Goodluck and Joseph would be a outstanding 2014 class!
Much thanks, OE! I got to see him dominate on a playground while he was still at Brooklyn Tech.
