Give goodine some minutes, give Howard some minutes or even better recruit an athletic and talented shooting guard. Buddy can not be playing the whole game if you are going to be a top tier team. While Trevor Cooley averaged 32 MPG his last 3 years.

It’s insane how many minutes some guys play these days. I throw the Carmelo number out to give perspective. 36 mpg is a LOT for Nba ball let alone college ball, and obviously melo deserved every second. But think about the guys we have had play 37-40 the last 5 years.
It’s absurd.

it’s a problem and can’t be good for team morale. We will likely lose our best athlete to transfer and one of the reasons is his inability to get minutes. The optics are bad and the results are worse

He's saying, if you even made the slightest attempt to understand and see what's plain as day, is that this roster lacks good players.

There are several good players on this roster; just no stars beyond Eli. He's one piece of 3 - you need a good inside player, a good wing (Eli) and a good guard. Buddy and Girard could be guards number 2 and 3, or 3 and 4, in a good backcourt, but they are not up to being 35 minute guys, at least not this year.

Agree. We looked a bit winded for the first 7 minutes of the second half. Is that because of player minutes though or all the sprinting on top of it?

Buddy was hot as a pistol, but still would have rested him 2 minutes in the first half because up top is where we need the most pressure on the ball. Plus Girard and Washington both can penetrate.
