Harvard Gameday…

Harvard hosted Colgate this season a week before they played us.

Yup they sure did, mid week game with like a noon start, was an odd game but I caught a decent part of it

Yes he specified February on last weeks Syracuse Lacrosse show
Cold and snow. Games like that in the northeast are meant to be played in the Dome. I wasn't questioning you saying it, but the wisdom of scheduling it.

go to Fanlax.com. You will need to put in Harvard 2025 for the search because for some reason it defaults to 2024.

Love this community…

Lose to MD on cold, rainy day in College Park…”Travesty that they don’t get more experience playing outdoors in the elements!”

Schedule home-and-home with Harvard … “What were they thinking? It will be cold outdoors in February!”

As somone who lives not too far from Cambridge, MA, a February lacrosse game at Harvard does not sound very enticing. I remember watching that Colgate-Harvard game earlier in the year, and being relieved I was watching it from home. Jordan Field is right next to busy Storrow Drive, and also the Charles River, so if it's cold and nasty that time of year, it's going to be doubly so for that game. Yikes!

As much as I've wanted Syracuse to visit the Commonwealth again, it would be great if they could figure out a time later in the year. Duke played at BU later in the year this year, would be nice if Syracuse could figure out how to do that with Harvard. SU used to visit UMass late in the year, though I know schedule construction has changed quite a bit over the years, and I think that was pre-ACC days.

Too bad, I think they could get a pretty decent crowd if the weather were decent. Boston Cannon games at Harvard and BU always drew good size crowds back in the MLL days. Either way I'll be there!

Agree.

Also, with the two very competitive games this year, this could be the beginning of a nice rivalry. Harvard is trending upwards it would be good to keep them on schedule while adding back in one of Army or Albany.

midweek game during conference sked. colgate did it with both, but they're positioned to have to do that to climb the rpi ladder. cuse vs harvard not likely ever.

harvard ivy break was mar 29. cuse had uva. cuse acc break they played cornell. replacing that game isn't a win, and moving cornell up early you've got the same weather problems. and that's if their breaks ever aligned.

mar 9 is the hopkins game. nope.

so mar 1 as a possibility. that's only one week from feb 22 and up to the weather gods. all of which you're probably aware, but late feb in cambridge it is!
