I'm thrilled that we won today but have to be honest that a couple things could perhaps be the indicators of what the future holds in store for this team. Defensively they have progressed throughout the season and it has been the most constant asset of this team. The fact that there are so many guys who can step up to the plate and be the difference maker in a game also allows for some players to fall into a slump without being noticed as much at it would had the team had a few more losses.
It seemed there was a much more positive vibe earlier in the year when we saw every game going pretty much 9 or 10 deep. Once the BE started that has been cut back. To some extent that would be expected but giving more playing time to everyone can help the team in the long run. It seems that there is still a lot of room for improvement and I'd be curious as to whether other posters here think we've sort of played ourselves into a level of play that while we are still winning games, we aren't seeing the level of improvement we will need to have when we face some of the better teams late in the tournament. Thoughts?
