Says it takes 8 out of 10 committee members to vote a team in.

This basically seals our fate. If it was 50-50 I'd feel better.

Listen we deserve our fate no metter because of yesterday but Lunardi is an azzclown.

Our wins over @Duke, Texas A&M, and UConn-N are better than the 3 top wins of any of the bottom 8 teams on the bubble.

Lunardi doesn't analyze resumes objectively.

It's over were not getting in. Best thing to do is getting on the recruiting trail and lock up Thompson and if Kaleb is leaving maybe a grad transfer.

Currently 7 out of 10 on bracketmatrix. But the other bubbles are less than that.

Lunardi's biggest liability is that he has a fluid, week to week bracket for 2 months, whereas the committee is looking at a team's body of work over a few days time. It is impossible for him to do that when he is constantly updating and changing his bracket. He's simply an entertaining (and annoying) gimmick. Take him at his worth...

Lunardi has stated that he personally favors mid-majors with good records that haven't beaten anybody over majors who have beaten teams, but may not have a good record. He also says the committee has historically favored the opposite.

I was about to say something like this. Lunardi (and all other bracketologists for that matter) especially as we get to March are looking at this on a day to day basis and there is probably the idea that every result has to mean something, positive or negative, at this point. We were one of his last 4 in, we lost, so now we're out. But the committee hasn't been doing this week to week or even day to day over the last week or so; they're going to basically look at every team's entire resume in the next few days, which will probably result in some different evaluations.

To be clear, I don't think we're going to make it.

We are screwed but that has nothing to do with the fact his azzclown on ESPN is treated like he is an expert.

When I watch analysts I expect them to be objective and give analysis based on the numbers or opinions with facts to back them up.

He may have been one of the first to do this but that doesn't make a good one.

Lunardi's last 4 in Pitt, St. Bonaventure, Monmouth, St. Mary's.

Okay Pitt beat us 3 times so they are better. The other if you analyze who they have beaten and where they played and ranked Syracuse 1-4. There is no way you could put Syracuse 4th. Now if you want to say were are picking the 37 best at-large teams then okay we don't belong in and we don't even belong as close to the bubble as we are now.

But, IMO, Palm does. And he now has us in his first four out. :(

I like Palm as well but he freaking has Tulsa and UConn in his last 4.

I don't get how you can look at UConn right now and put them in over Syracuse. Now UConn could beat Cincinnati and Temple and jump us but now?

Tulsa over our resume What? I mean I am not even being a homer and I look at these resumes and say do these guys look at our wins?

All we need is for Cinci to beat uconn and Memphis to beat Tulsa tomorrow and we're back in baby!

What if they can't come to a consensus? In other words, what if no bubble teams get 8/10 votes-does it then go to the team with the next highest number of votes ? Always wondered how the process exactly works.

Do we really need to watch this team lose a play in game to a mid-major ? I don't need to see that thanks. This team has been seriously flawed all year long. No inside game, sloppy ball handling and passing, turnovers, crap defense, inability to consistently make foul shots, streaky shooting etc. Wash, rinse repeat. We all better hope that Lyndon, Roberson and Richardson take big leaps in performance between this year and next or it's going to be another long season IMHO.

Eventually it becomes an either or proposition. I think we will be one of the last teams under consideration.

Monmouth, Syracuse, St. Mary's, UConn, Vanderbilt like teams.

Root like hard for Cincinnati and Memphis tomorrow

Folks I believe we are out also but always hold out hope especially in this crazy bad bubble year..I felt like if we lost we deserved to be out anyway and will assume that is the case until we surprisingly show up or not Sunday...I have looked at my numbers and have come up with this that makes me feel somewhat better...I put a couple bubbles as in already like Vandy, VCU and St. Bonnie...after this I have what looks like 5 bids left for 12 teams...I am putting SD State as winning MWC but that would change things a bit.

Heres what I see for the 12 teams we are competing with for 1 of 5 spots

Cinci
UCONN
Tulsa
Butler
G. Washington
Michigan
Florida
St. Marys
Wichita St
Monmouth
Valpo
CUSE

I could be missing someone but think its good...Now you just never know what the committee is looking at from year to year so you never know..Are they for Mid Majors or good OOC schedule or tougher P5 schedule...who knows

Good list.

Cincy and Butler are in.

3 teams left
We are ahead of all these teams right now IMO except maybe Wichita State and GW.

Thus we need UConn, Tulsa, Michigan, Florida to all lose and sweat this thing out.

I totally agree and am surprised how little play those wins are getting. Also every team has What losses. If we don't get in we are going to lose out to someone who's resume is not that much better, if any better, than ours and that is going to p--s me off. We aren't worthy but somebody has to fill out the bracket and none of the teams listed touch our good wins.

anytime you get into the NCAA's is a good thing. I dont care who we play. The NIT has nothing to do with it.
I just don't get how people don't get this. I would take Dayton in a cocaine heartbeat right now over the NIT. Even if we got killed then our kids get to end their seasons playing for the NC over an empty Dome.

If he's an azzclown why are you so concerned about him?

I also know they always say the committee does not go by conference number of bids...but I also think they do look at certain conf as weaker and less bids result...I really believe the A-10 may be a bit overrated in their eyes and we may see that What scenario like ours that one year happen to teams in there...

Here are my What candidates that may may get shafted due to conf or OOC schedule or lack of eye test

VCU
Vandy
St. Joes
S. Carolina
Providence
USC
