It’s not Kiyan’s fault that neither of the others got the ball.

It looks like JJ is the designated go to guy, but JJ either can’t or isnt willing to get the ball in that situation. It looks like Nait is deferring to JJ, which I think is a bad idea.

Whatever the case, neither of those two stepped up when somebody has to step up. And that really falls on the head, Coach.

100 pct right. Bad play design. JJ didn’t even try to get the ball. The guy with the whiteboard and marker needs to be so adamant about what is going to happen and that didn’t occur unfortunately

yeah, this is two games where JJ didn't get the call late. The Houston game and the Hofstra game. I wonder if he is afraid of getting fouled?

This team has no clue, offensively. Half our possessions feature one dude dribbling and dribbling while 4 guys stand around. Whatever “system” we’re running sucks. And it’s been 3 years of it.

I don't think JJ worked that hard to get open after Kyle had the ball, but a little off ball screen for him could've been drawn up in the huddle. I'm perfectly fine with JJ not having the ball in his hands though.

Kinda speaks for itself. If he was a true Alpha dog type (as you'd ideally want your so called go to guy to be in crunch time, etc.) he would've demanded the ball...period!

And, regarding the white board comment...if we actually had a true floor leader, highly confident go to guy, etc., there also wouldn't be any need for the coach to be adamant at all, as it would be a general given type deal.
