Sorry for another attendance thread, but from someone who knows, I've been told that we are getting close to a "sell out." I can't give out what the exact number is, but let's just say that with 6 days to go, if someone knows 9,000 people, get them to buy tickets and that would be perfect.

If the Syracuse Crunch can sell 6300 tickets ($30 a ticket) in two days for a Calder Cup playoff game then there is no reason that 9000 can't be sold to see one of the biggest games in years in six days.

Based upon the other ticket sales post it appears that almost 500 tickets were sold over the weekend.

I have to believe there will be a long line for tickets at the Carrier Dome box office all day Monday between the students and the sports fans in this community.

In other words, we're 9,000 people short of a sell out.

Just out of curiosity, who did you get yur info from?

So we're at abot 82% capacity right now. I have a feeling there will only be about 3,000 more tickets sold between now and the game, unless they do some sort of.last minute deal. I hope the fanbase proves me wrong.

That's not short of one, it's not even close.

Though, given our recent attendance it still makes me happy

Edit: what ot44 said

I do believe the numbers were similar for the Minnesota game at the start of the week. I think we can definitely get the high 40s. There should be a lot of tickets sold this week and a 1 to 2 k walk up

Especially with the time just being announced.

If there is 9,000 left, that's not good at all. We won't sell out cause we never sell that many in the last week and walk ups. Never, never, never. It also means that with Clemson buying 4-5,000 we have only sold 36,000 SU tixs.

I think 9,000 left might be a little high.

9000 short is not "close to a sellout".

You're right on that one. Their words, not mine. That being said, 41,000 is still more than any home game since West Virginia in 2011. I'm fairly positive we won't sell out, but I expect the announce attendance to be at least 45,000 which is right where that West Virginia game was. That number given to me was as of Friday so I couldn't tell you what it is now. Again, it was what was told to me by someone who I trust within athletics. Just thought I would share it. Either way, I know the students are ready to rock the dome and be the 12th man that Coach Shafer and the rest of the team want.

41,000 is 8,000 remaining. The dome holds 49k. Well 49,250.

A lot of tickets sold Friday also.

Minnesota was an anomaly. SU Athletics formes a group to push for a sellout in Marrone's first game, so a bunch of people bought/donated tickets to be used. Even then, got to 48k and change.

I agree. With the game time announced tomorrow is a big day in terms of ticket sales.

Maybe a student who posts on this board can give us an update in terms of the lines at the Dome ticket window.

that would also mean we have sold less for clemson than we did for tulane. clemson sales have not been given back yet so they might not even be included in any numbers

i agree ticketmaster has no seats available in the southwest corner im not sure who there being held for and they are leaving out what seems to be about 5k visitors. I think cusu may be off by about 1 to 2 k but that would leave us at around 42 or 43 sold.

maybe whoever told the thread starter didn't include whatever Clemson has sold so 40,250 + 4000 for clemson?= 44,250 sold? I definitely noticed some seats opening up on ticketmaster today that were not available on Friday that were probably held back but I still only counted about 1700 seats available in the lower 2 levels as of 1030am

I'm saying 43k right now. I hope we sell some seats this week, keeping an eye on ticket master we have sold some today. Where do you guys think the empower seats are?
