EDIT: Misread your post I think 314 is where excess clemson fans are right? If so it seems like they are spilling over to 312.
 
if we sold 36k for tulane you have to think we sold more for Clemson.. even if 1-2k more if clemson travels with 5k we should be at 42-43 right now. on this board alone if feels like we have had more people buy tickets for this game. I think we get close to 45K if the clemson totals are true. print off a few promotional t-shirts and the number will go higher.
 
I think we will get over 45k as long as the Clemson reports are true

With what I know about SU and their holdbacks that sounds about right...I figure we are solidly over 41k right now. I think 46k is a reasonable goal. If SU pulls out some tricks...we could get more. I would call Ft Drum and see if they could send 400 soldiers down in buses to help a bit. But SU better park those 10 buses within 1/2 mile to the Dome so the soldiers can walk in.

Knowing the military this is how it works.

Have Coach Shafer or Floyd Little call the Commanding General on Monday with the offer of 400 free tickets for soldiers, dependents and civilian workers along with bus parking if Ft Drum can come up with the transportation. It would happen...and quickly.

If we can't get 45k for this there is something seriously wrong. Still haven't seen or heard any advertisements. I doesn't even seem like we try.

Can we get the military personnel to sit surrounding the Clemson fans. And if the Clemson fans start to cheer loudly, the Ft. Drum folks could... um, dissuade them.

It'd be great if we could get something done with Ft. Drum. As a thank you for their service and as another way to fill the dome. I'm also not sure how students and Clemson fans were figured in to the number given to me. We should have a better idea tomorrow.
 
Remember, it's not just the sales. The bodies need to show up. We've had plenty of announced crowds that looked like crap on TV. I'm doing my part and pulling JoeCollege out of his backwoods distillery for the game. That's a few of the 9,000.

The actual turnstile count for Tulane was slightly over 20,000. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Hopefully we are 45,000 plus for the game on Saturday.

I will check on that tomorrow. Interesting if true although I think there's always tickets available to students, but I will find out if that is that case and report back.

If all the student tix have sold out, that's impressive. Doubt that's ever happened for football before.

Have believe anyone with a ticket shows up for this game. The disparity between tickets sold and butts in seats is from season ticket holders that pick and choose which games to go to. This will be the one they definitely go to.

They better. I hope the businesses that have seats give them out to their employees and tell them to go. I remember 10 seats sitting empty right in front of our seats for basketball games. They were great seats. Second level by the railing. Most games no one sat in them, but at the big games they were packed. I found out they belonged to some insurance company. Guess they weren't huge fans and just used them to hob nob, which was abundantly clear when ND came to town.

Anyway, companies need to get bodies in their seats this weekend. Make it happen!
