Hope this is JBs last year

Noone is going to want to take the job if we fire him. He won't step down because he can't trust the replacement to play Buddy starters minutes.

The team played well the last 2 games just didn't have enough down the stretch.

We have to send some guys packing and load up on transfers. There is no other option and Newton and Washington are not program savior type recruits just gotta hope they give us more next year than Goodine and Guerrier this.

Recruiting has been abysmal for years and it’s not getting any better until he leaves. His son and the kid from Glenn’s Falls aren’t top tier D1 payers, we have no big man, and our best player is an eastern Europe who chain smokes.
Hope this is your last post

LOL please provide the empirical evidence that says this will be true.

There is none.

Syracuse is in one of the top 3 college basketball conferences in the country. It plays in front of the largest crowds in the country. It has great practice facilities. It plays on national television all the time.

Boeheim built the program to what it is, there’s no doubt. But to say it won’t be successful without him is crazy talk.

Everybody plays on National TV all the time these days.

Big crowds will dry up, like SU football.

SU success was based on the Big East, the ESPN showcasing of the Big East, and Boeheim. Take two of the three away, and you get what we have now. Take all three away and we’re BC.

Bc won tonight. Against last year's national champion.

I'd take that in a heartbeat

Did you know that every single head coach in Syracuse basketball history has a winning record?

Did you know that Roy Danforth took Syracuse basketball to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, right before Jim Boeheim took over?

Did you know that Syracuse basketball had a winning product before the Big East and ESPN?

Did you know that Syracuse basketball has donors who will invest in the basketball program to ensure it will be successful well past Boeheim?

Did you know that Syracuse basketball has been put on probation twice during Boeheim's tenure? Who is to say that any other coach, given longevity, couldn't have done the same at Syracuse given the things you describe, without the sanctions?

Did you know that Gonzaga is currently the #1 ranked team in the country and, prior to the mid 90s, wasn't any better than .500 or so?

You are crazy. Syracuse basketball is bigger than one person. Boeheim has done an unbelievable job, but he needs to do the right thing to ensure the program doesn't have to dig out of an even bigger hole he has it in right now.

Then why do some programs continue to excel?
