The last time Syracuse football was ranked in the top 25 was after the Insight.com bowl game in 2001.

So a 15+ year gap.

I think we’re closer to ending the drought than we think.

Will we be in the "Others receiving votes" category in the A.P. on Monday, and where? I believe that covers teams 26-35. Not sure where we are now in the poll, but it's pretty damn low I'd think. I think we move to top 35 in that poll. I know that after Iowa State beat #3 Oklahoma, they moved to number 33 in the A.P. and received 5 votes. Not sure where Iowa State ranked before that victory though, and that was a win on the road, so we may just be outside the top 35. Top 25 is definitely a possibility this year at some point. Need to stay healthy, and not beat ourselves.

3. We're 1-2 star players away from being ranked
4. We're going to be ranked *within* the next 1-2 years (key word: "within")
