and that's why that great group didn't accomplish as much as they could. it started as stevie then moved to michael edwards.I can't remember the 5th starter on that team.

Boeheim retired when SU moved to the ACCIn the BE we could recruit against anybody. In the ACC we cannot recruit against anybody.

Back in the day, all these guys went to Georgetown, if that makes you feel any better. The rich just keeps getting richer. Man I hate Duke.
Of course they were but we got more than our fair share. Now we get less. Blaming it on JB is ridiculous. I blame it on bad circumstances. You obviously think that loosing our image and our rivalries is inconsequential. Our one and only competitive year in the ACC was our first when we ran on BE talent. You think “BE players” weren’t being recruited by ACC schools? This is such an irrelevant point that it confounds the mind how you continue to bring it up.
As deep as Duke is this yr, there’s no real star/go-to guy. My guess is they will try to make Evans their guy.
I mean rivalries matter sure, but they don’t matter so much that you lose players over it. A good coach would’ve made all the differenceOf course they were but we got more than our fair share. *#&@ Bobby Cremins!!!and that's why that great group didn't accomplish as much as they could. it started as stevie then moved to michael edwards.
Ha i forgot he did. But there really isn’t a star. Bunch of good guys, no GUYThat's a bold guess, considering that Isaiah Evans declared for the NBA Draft. Did you mean [any of, like, a dozen other options]?
Pearl? Sherman was a freshman in Pearl’s last year and started when he left.Ha. So much for my memory. I remember the other guys tho (billy, derrick, leron, and stevie). Who played point back then? I can't remember the 5th starter on that team.
There’s pictures of JB sleeping on recruiting trips!Of course they were but we got more than our fair share. Now we get less. Blaming it on JB is ridiculous. I blame it on bad circumstances. Wasn’t it the same picture (not pictures) where he was sitting on what looked like a folding chair but strangely no one was around him despite people claiming he was at a game recruiting? Heck of a game full of recruits with no other spectators isn’t it, yet none of our internet sleuths noticed to even mention it?There’s pictures of JB sleeping on recruiting trips!
Pearl never played with Coleman or Thompson. They were freshman in '86-87, the year after Pearl left.Pearl? Sherman was a freshman in Pearl’s last year and started when he left.
Maybe Michael Edwards??? Was that the team that lost to Richmond?Pearl? Sherman was a freshman in Pearl’s last year and started when he left.
Sorry thought he was asking who started at pg before Sherman. Maybe he was thinking of Greg Monroe?Pearl never played with Coleman or Thompson. They were freshman in '86-87, the year after Pearl left.
The '90 team lost to Minnesota in the Sweet 16. Then the Gophers lost to GaTech, with freshman Kenny Anderson.Maybe Michael Edwards??? Was that the team that lost to Richmond?
No, that was the following year that we lost to Richmond. In the 1989-1990 tournament, we lost to Minnesota.Maybe Michael Edwards??? Was that the team that lost to Richmond?
Yup. The Minnesota loss still stings. Remember DC walking into the tunnel for the last time. No, that was the following year that we lost to Richmond. In the 1989-1990 tournament, we lost to Minnesota.
