How do I start a "hows the crowd looking" thread?

More SU fans go to the dome so that wouldn't help. Nobody was happy with the attendance numbers for SU at the meadowlands.

i'm joking 100%. if we don't get 40k for the best team to come to the Dome since Nebraska (From what people are saying) then there needs to be even more serious discussions on this attendance issue than I was led on to believe.

thats a total shame.

parents weekend was always a large crowd.

add the parents, to the list of students...as current LOSERS!!

Not for that game, you're misreading what I said.
To me it loooks like a bunch of seats upper deck sideline went today. You agree ?

Is it possible for Coyle to invest in a hologram machine.?We could hologram the empties so it won't look so embarrassing on national TV. Worked for Tupac...

Yeah, we shouldn't even be talking about unsold seats at this stage.

This should already be a sellout or near sellout at this time.

Of course not, doesn't make sense for me in 2015.

Got my 2nd Giants game in 5 days on Thursday and Yankees - white sox Saturday early evening.

Now if my son or daughter was a student and I was on campus visiting, I would make damn sure I was at the game with the student and traveling party.

Just what kind of students and parents are they letting in now??

Communist Russians??

No wonder the ranking has dropped.

Present company excluded;)

people that are already complaining about attendance, especially those that aren't going to the game...need to jam it right up the backside.

The best team since Nebraska? I'm highly doubtful of that. We saw some pretty good teams post Nebraska. Miami, FSU, PSU, Tennessee, et al. Big shoes.

I think there will be good representation by students and parents. They set aside at least 2 sections for them.

Funny but frustrating story about my son is that this is the 4th straight game he's gotten jobbed in some way. Being the big fan he is and wanting to go to all the games, he got student season tix.

First game, freshman get in free. Second game, all students get in free. Third game, a professor decides to conduct a team building exercise last Saturday at 1. Tells the class school comes before football and that its mandatory. So he doesn't go to game.

So now he's excited about LSU. Huge game. He's gonna get there early to get in the front row like he's done the other games and stand behind his classmates on the team at about the 30. Goes out and buys an SU cape and face paint and all. Lol.

So.....he finds out he as a student is relegated to a section in the endzone. They have taken the sideline student section and reserved it for those students and their parents who bought tickets for this game. Of course he didn't need to buy tickets for his parents since we have our own.

I don't think he's buying seasons next year.

IMO he should get in for free every game.

I'm starting to get an idea about why some of our students might get frustrated with the whole process and just decide not to go.

There needs to be at least a little consistency and account taken for the folks who actually buy season tickets. If a student has a season ticket and then they decide to give them away for free, they should be able to present their ticket for a refund, or something, at the very least.

Good God SU Athletics, why do you think it is a good idea to get rid of/move the student section for any game ever? They do this crap so much and it makes zero sense.

crazy.

they need to add the cost of the ticket that was evenutally given away for free, onto his 'Schine Card' if they still have such a thing.

and that professor is a world class ass.

the professor should be fired.

They have to move it. Either they move it to the sideline or to the endzone.

But if they are going to have the parents sit alongside the students, they have to move it.

Set up a different section for students to sit with their parents if they so choose. Lord knows there's plenty of other empty areas in that place.

and then the student section has 25% of the students they normally have.

No offense, but you arent thinking this through.

Maybe it doesn't matter now, with the apathetic student population for football, but they do this every year. Imagine a scenario where we are actually good and we are putting 3-4,000 students in the student section consistently. Then we have a huge game like this one, and the student section becomes 15 rows of bleachers in one section in the endzone.

It's the same crap they do for basketball games when students are on break. We inevitably end up playing a huge non-conference or sometimes conference game, and there is zero student section at all, because SU has decided they would rather sell those seats for $50 a pop instead of figuring out a way to still maintain at least some sort of a student presence.

This is also known as the '90s.

How many schools eradicate their student section once a year? Honest question, I have no idea.

He's not really pissed about the money thing, just frustrated with the whole thing. They were only like $100 or something. They should probably have a section, or part of a section, for the season tix students. But then the problem with that is if your roomie or buddy doesn't have seasons, he or she can't sit with you.

As empty as the Dome was weeks ago they could have picked almost anyplace to out the parents and their students.
