How do we feel about the state of the program now?

maybe the reason things havent gone well is because too many always look at everything as aok no matter how bad

had 2 good seasons in the last 12-15- yet you complain about those sick and tired of it- not about whats wrong still

if not for the acc taking us over other schools - our football program would all but be dead -

you constantly talk about how great the lastest recruiting class is - always talking about the next class being the one- a decade of it -gets old

15 years - Well no one thinks the greg robinson era was good so lets take that out. Ill tell you what though. When they got rid of P I said I would support the team. So lets set a more realistic bar. of say 10 years.

Marrone turned the program around until he left. (People wanted it but complained)
We have built an IPF (People wanted it but complained)
We moved to ACC (People wanted it but complained)
Have had profile games in NYC
New uniforms . (People wanted it but complained) (Except the we should wear only 1 uniform ever crowd)
Marrone left and our first year coach took us to a bowl. (People wanted it but complained)
Our new staff has reinvigorated the recruiting here. it may be slow but its going forward. (People wanted it but complained)

Aside from record alone what would make anyone think its been so negative. Maybe everyones expectations should be leveled with the REALITY of the here and now and the future. Not the past.

Who gives a . . ite about last year. Im on to this year. Im actually just so fired up this post doesn't make since likely. But I don't care Im fed up with it.

Pointing out what's wrong is all well and good, if it's done constructively. Seemingly, most who complain do nothing more than that. The seemingly incessant bitching gets old, too.

Because someone does not come here and complain about everything does not mean everything is "aok" to them. Complaining gets real old.

Shafer? Guy has been here as head coach 2 years. His first year he had to scrap together a recruiting class and hold the team together. Oh ya they went to a bowl and won.
Marrone? Had to inherit the grob mess and did what in his 4 years besides two 8 win seasons and two bowl wins.

So in the last 7 years (Better sampling)

4-8 Off GROB MESS
8-5 BOWL WIN
5-7 Certainly under achieved a bit and didn't finish well (though were off to best start in some time)

Being positive doesn't mean ignoring the problems or not talking about them.

Example: "The staff sure us dealing with the talent gap in the ACC by getting better recruits. Maybe not great across the board - but some of these guys are players."

The current HC and most of the players and staff weren't here in those jobs just 3 years ago. So using "a history of sucking" is stupid.

You have every right to be pissed if that's how you feel. I think what others are saying, however, is that people are tired of hearing about your outrage every time something remotely positive is said about the program. Dealing with chronically negative people is exhausting.
