Could it just be that he doesn't want to continue with basketball? Things change.
I can't remember so much hostility from the fans for a kid who seemed to love the university so much. Not you, but many others.
I hope he lands somewhere he can show his leadership skills and have a great last year. He deserves it after everything he's been through.

on the syracuse basketball team i bet it's still pretty awesome. i would have taken that in a heartbeat. Also can you imagine how much it sucks to be part of the team and not play in games.
I'm sure he felt the same puzzlement and disappointment with his usage last year. But that's a much longer argument that none of us want to have.I don't have hostility. It's more like puzzlement and disappointment. I hope he does well, wherever he goes. I just think he made a bad move for him and for us.

Is this a new dialect?True.
Tough to walk on.
We used to run clowns in Archbold JB told my buddies to scram who could seriously ball when they tried to walk on.
I want "Run clowns in Archbold" on a t-shirt.Is this a new dialect?
Wonder with his health issues he has a hard time finding a place for a schollie. He should take the free education at SU, IMO

Thank you OrangeDW for the FrankieFan to English dictionary.FrankieFan and his friends used to dominate the court at Archbald. A few of his friends could really play, and tried to walk on but Boeheim cut them.
Entering your name in the portal does not mean you have to go anywhere. More like saying I might transfer if you are interested.Could it just be that he doesn't want to continue with basketball? Things change.

Because, as you, you know you can't compete at that level. Howard believes he can, so he wants to play.on the syracuse basketball team i bet it's still pretty awesome. i would have taken that in a heartbeat.
what part of that did you take to mean that i was speaking for howard?Because, as you, you know you can't compete at that level. Howard believes he can, so he wants to play.
Why burn your last year this year?
Scoop your SU degree lay low and ball somewhere else next year. Makes all the sense in the world.
Also can you imagine how much it sucks to be part of the team and not play in games. I get it I was 3rd string lacrosse goalie for a biggish program in MA I spent a full season getting drilled in practice by kids who played D1 and never saw a minute in a real game. That wasn't fun at all. My mom wouldn't let me quit.
This is what I'm talking about. There is simply no need for anything between 'guy' and 'wish.'Good for howard, nice guy but not a great fit for us and probably not a high d1 talent, wish him well

So he wasn't a starter. Is that all a team should be, starter-level quality?
Washington was a pretty amazing medical recovery story. Give the kid all the credit in the world for bouncing back after that stroke. And he had his moments -- as the only true lead guard on the team [that early performance against GT when we blew them out was a heckuva performance].
But ultimately, he just couldn't hit shots. IF he could have been a reliable three point threat, or a guy who could get to the basket, he would have been a nice career backup, even in the ACC. But since he didn't show that capability, it just wasn't going to work.
Classy kid, hard worker -- I'll root for him at South Alabama.
