Hey, I wouldn’t rule it out. The portal is filled with guards. He’ll probably have a hard time finding a spot that would offer much in the way of playing time. I think the staff would take him back in a second. And he can take all summer to explore his options.

Yes, I could see this happening. Pretty sure the staff thought highly of Howard. He gets a great grad degree, SU added valuable depth and a guy who knows the 2-3 very well.

A lot of the kids who have transferred from SU have regretted leaving. I suspect Howard is one of them.

I would take him back as the fourth guard for one year knowing his skills with handling the ball and playing defense.

While a scorer in high school, he did not show the abilility to score at Syracuse. I trust him as our 4th guard who would provide flexibility and depeth at the Guard position.

He absolutely seems like the type of kid who would make a great coach someday. Would make a great (re)addition to next year's team given those qualities.

Here’s a crazy theory: Since the season ended, basically every announcement from a player going out has been followed/overshadowed by an announcement from a player coming in. As if they’re all coordinated counter moves. The news of Washington entering the portal came 10 minutes before Guerrier’s announcement.

That is a crazy theory. There are maybe 3 people on Earth who actually care where Howard Washington plays basketball next year, and two are Howard and his mom.
