I blame Cantor and the PR firm

If JB is fired/resigns over his comments then this is all on Cantor and the PR firm we hired. Yes JB was dumb to make his comments. But all they had to do was...

1. Say SU does not condone the comments separating what JB said from SU.

2. Make JB apologize and explain himself. So JB would have explained that he was defending a friend and not attacking the accusers. He had no intent to do that and is sorry if it was perceived that way.

3. Fined JB $10,000 for his comments and then donate it to a victims fund.

IMO that would have swayed public opinion and JB would have been forgiven. Instead SU did not act and now have public opinion wanting blood. First it would have been the right thing to do whether Bernie was innocent or guilty. Second it protects SU. Third it protects JB and lets him go out on his own terms. Why in the hell was this not done? Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Thanks Cantor.

Agreed. Boeheim's not God. I'll be disappointed if we lose him as head coach, but if his superiors want him fired, I have full faith that they have cause to do so.

2. Should he have known or suspected what was going on with Bernie ?

3. In view of Davis's statement that Jimmy saw him in a hotel room with Bernie, Jimmy's credability is now in doubt. Unless, the BOT believes that is ZERO risk about what Jimmy knew or should have known then Jimmy will fall.

JB is going to be linked to JoePa. And while that's wrong on so many levels, it could have been easily prevented. Just say you can't believe this is true, be done with it. Now it looks like he may not go out on his own terms and damage his legacy because he had to attack without all the facts. Really unfortunate if it's true that he knew nothing about this.

Good lesson for coaches everywhere. You're just a coach. If you think you're something bigger, you're asking for trouble.

JB put himself in that position. He stuck his neck out. But Cantor could have thrown him a life persever. It is BS that she didn't.

If that is the case then shouldn't Cantor and TGD be fired as well? They allowed Fine to stay on as coach after the 2005 investigation. That report would have said that either 1. there is a strong possibility this is true, 2. it is inconclusive if this is true or false, or 3. there is a strong possibility that this is false. If 1 or 2 are true then Fine should have been forced to retire after the 2005-2006 season. If 1 or 2 are true and he was allowed to continue to coach, then Cantor and TGD have blood on their hands. If 3 is true then IMO JB didn't know either and only his comments would have him in trouble.
